...because mine's fallen off
...and I have a 1000+ mile trip over the next week
It looks like it's been held on by one nut, and that's fucked off. The other bolt has completely snapped and gone.
Am I alright without it?
Can I buy new nuts + bolts?
Do I just unscrew these ones and screw new...
This only seems to happen when I'm in McDonald's drive thru!
It starts flashing on its own with no change in power/performance or anything, then goes off after 5 minutes or so, or after switching the engine off and on again.
The car idles quite lumpy anyway but performs well.
Any ideas?
It's not blowing ice cold like it usually has done. Will it need a re-gas perhaps? Where is best to take it that won't bugger it up? ATS or somewhere like that?
Thank you :)
You couldn't make this up...
It's a Clio Trophy so the seats don't have air bags in them. How can I make this light go off, or find out what the issue is? It comes on most of the time, but every now and again goes off for a couple of minutes before returning.
It's because the strip for the air vents is lifted up slightly. I know this because when it's rattling, if I hold it down, it stops.
I tried tightening the screws right in and it sorted it for a minute but it's back again now :(
What would be best for sticking it down without all crap seeping...
I noticed a bad smell when I put my front windows down and upon investigation found out that it's likely to be coming from this little wet patch underneath the rear bench. It's a small amount and I'm airing it out, and the bench, so that hopefully the smell disappears.
One question though - how...
It's only happened a couple of times but when I'm really giving it some stick, going from 2nd to 3rd, it gave off a bit of a crunching noise but went into gear fine and no other problems. Most of the time it doesn't do it, but on a long drive last week it did it and just on the motorway today it...
I've seen the two closest to the rear of the car, but where are the other two clips closest to the rear bench?
Please don't tell me they're on the isofix bar!
Just recently, the past couple of mornings when it's been -1 and colder, the car has been getting up to temperature at a normal speed but stopping 1 bar short of full temperature. It then fluctuates between that and full temp before getting up to full temperature a while after and seeming to...
Basically my idle is quite lumpy but it's not a misfire. It goes away when driving but when idling I can feel it through the seats and see it with the gearstick.
Gavin kindly plugged it in for me and it came up with:
DF018 Upstream oxygen sensor heating circuit (red fault code)
DF057 Upstream...
I recently bought a new Kindle PW and am looking for ideas for covers/cases/pouches to use when I take it away with me or use it outside of the house.
I quite like the pouch idea rather than a big bulky case because it won't actually be in it when reading.
What are you people on here using for...
Does anyone know what might be up? It drives completely fine, no warning lights or anything but at idle it sounds like crap. Also, I gave my tailpipes a reet good clean the other day, after a day of driving they're black again and I noticed black splatter over my rear bumper. It could just be...
I've made this thread before and someone recommended the Meguiars microfibre wash mitt, however I've found it collects bits of crap in it and you have to keep pulling them out.
I originally used the big Eurow wash mitt with rubber glove inside but I can't find that anywhere now so I think...
What are people doing for the spare wheel situation in 182s? I'd like one for long trips etc. where I'd be far from home but how do you secure it down? Would a boot net or bungee cords do the trick? I don't want it flying around in the boot if I'm driving around Nurburgring.
EDIT: I don't want...
I bought two Michelin Pilot Sport 3s off a user on here and was told that they were both brand new. They certainly looked to have a bit of meat on them so happy at my bargain, I had them fitted. A few months later and one was losing air and it was found to have a split in the bit that connects...
Hello, I've just had my MOT done and he noticed a leak which looked to be coming from the sump gasket. Is changing it a job any local garage (I usually use the same one) can do or is it better to take it to a specialist? How much approximately should I be looking at paying (I can supply the...
Are polishing sponges alright for this, or microfibre circular pads?
Also, where is best to get them ideally as cheap as possible as I want to buy a few. I use SRP and Collonite 476s.
For some reason it looks like there are small creases in the roof lining but it's just the photo! Uploaded to Facebook so byebye quality.
Also got some stickers made up by Ady off here. I wanted red at first but changed my mind... I love the subtle look you see. Interior is a nice place to be...
I've ripped my headlining out and destroyed a grab handle in the process as expected. I've unscrewed the screws holding the sun visor small clip in (the hook that keeps the actual visor in place) and it's not moving at all. Is there a way to get it out and be able to reuse it? Or does it need...
