DCI is the pick of the bunch but more expensive to buy in the first place and diesel is 10p/litre more expensive at the pump. Bearing in mind a 1.2 16v does 45mpg+ theres not alot in it.
In loved my 1.2, I would have another one, great fun car, nippy enough.
For that price difference they are quoting different cars, did you give them your registration and VIN number?
I reckon one was with aircon and one was without. All quotes are taken off a centrally controlled system regulated by head office called rapidquote, two different cars are being...
As I said smart repair.
Tbh it doesn't even look that bad, people talking of a bent chassis are having a giggle. Even if it was my own personal vehicle I would use a smart repair type service, seems pointless spraying the whole bumper.
I can't believe you didn't notice when viewing it, I would...
The work should have been completed then billed to the sales department, thats the procedure, will probably go to with renaults approved body shop or have the mounts adjusted and a smart repair done on site.
Lol im going on holiday tommorow so im in a good mood, amazing the amount of cars that are advertised as mint and when you get there they are held together with cable ties!
Im still not a massive fan of the colour or the fact its a cup but if it came on the market the overall package would be...
Women just don't understand (apart from a select few). My housemates all female didn't believe me when I said my car service was £230. Its not like a washing machine you do have to maintain it, they didn't even know you had to service a car. Obviously there always right so I just don't argue!
Doesn't surprise me in the least, £12 is quite cheap though, having said that if he complained that an additional clip was broken on their return he obviously knew that the other ones were broken in the first place.
I ve had no problems with him and bought an item from him myself although I...
All made in the same factory apparently, mine was genuine kit but tbh how long are you planning on keeping the car anyway?
My view was there was always 1.2 16v lumps on ebay for around the £150 mark, hence why I thrashed the tits of mine, disposable engines FTW!
Cheers for clarrifying that.
With the 1.2's it comes as a complete kit and its hardly a race engine, my bro changed his after work one day and whilst he's got a reasonable mechanical knowledge (marine engineer) he's not used to working on cars.
£150 seems about right for mates rates.
Like I said...
In all honesty I don't know! 7.7 is an autocar figure out of their road test, I reckon its probably closer to 7.5 than 8 seconds although i ve never timed it. Mine has the 5 speed box so it will do 60 in 2nd, the 6speeders require an additional change hence their quoted figure is around 8...
I got 82 miles from a tenner, a proper hot hatch doesn't need a trip computer! I guess thats about 40mpg though.
However I lupowned a TT 180 on a dc last night and the fuel light came on after 40 miles (again from a tenner) :D
Is the 1.6 16v a DOHC as my 1.2 16v was a SOHC..
I paid £200 for my cambelt change on my 1.2 16v using genuine parts at a garage so £150 for a mate is quite acheivable.
Turbines + lowered will be a good shout, and if you buy the parts secondhand you can generally sell them on for what you paid for them when you come to sell the car.
Just ignore the comments, i would much rather drive that than a car bought for me by mummy and daddy. Its hardly a shed, looks quite tidy and the oem alloys set it off well. My first car was a H reg 1.0 Polo, everyones got to start somewhere.
Christ on a bike he's posted the vehicles VRM on the INTERNET!
The cars nearly 4yrs old obviously over that time its been parked in the street, in car parks all over the place with the VRM on show!
