In the manual, Renault recommends 98RON fuel which I believe what Optimax is. Ive ran my car with Optimax since new so I cant say whether theres and improvement or not.
Give me an M3 any day of the week.
In fact if money was no object the one car I would have would be the new M3CSL or a Porsche 996 Carrera 4S (need to test drive both to decide..yeah in my dreams!!).
Both have 4 seats, big boot, as fast as youll ever want it and will likely last almost a...
I think this was answered by 2fast4u and the like in another thread a while back, ie same reason why people want to put a Sport badge or side skirts on their Clios. I have no problems with body kits etc, but I dont think the same when people badge a car up to what its not, eg, put M3 badges on...

Infact if money was no object and I could only have one car to do everything, I would buy either a new M3CSL or a Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, Dont care if its cool or uncool..

Mikeherts hit the nail on the head. The CTR is a very good car, Ive not driven one, so I can only go by what I read. I was in a similar situation last year, but with MY £15k (actually cost me £12500), bangs per buck was a major consideration (including cheaper insurance for the Clio) in...

Yeah Pete read your post, and I did exactly what you said. Instinctively applied opposite lock to correct the oversteer but its the application of the throttle that I left abit late. Must remember not to lift off completely in a blind panic and apply it earlier. Applied the throttle after is...

Mitsi,
I did exactly the same, back end came out to the point I thought I was gonna spin it but applied loads of oppsite lock to catch it only to go the other way. Fortunately I didnt hit anything, but I did thought I was a gonna. The road had be recently gritted and was therefore quite...

I had mine done about 3000 miles came back after 2 weeks, now done nearly 13000 miles and no rattle. The rattle disappeard after doing a further 9000 miles. Who know it may come back later.
Ok Matt,
I have a question about lift off oversteer. I had a big lift off oversteer moment last night going into a (thankfully) big round about and had to apply a lot of opposite lock to try and bring the car back in line as rear stepped out massively. However in doing so, the car start...

I had my center section replaced at about 3000 miles from new as I had the same problem. The rattle came back 2 weeks later. So I thought, cant be bothered with letting Renault fiddle with it again and just save up for a new aftermarket exhaust. A further 6000 later, the rattle has...
Ive had mine from new from Motorpoint and have had absolutely no problems at all. Didn;t use any oil on the running in period all the way up to my first service about a month ago. No banging under accelleration. Had the center section of the exhaust replaced at about 3000 miles, but now after...

Well I think the turning circle on the 172 is fantastic, however, my previous car was a Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo which had a turning circle not too dissimilar to the QE2.

Mr Bash,
Remember you are basing your opinions on a Clio you own that has, it seems, handling problems problems unlike anyone else here, eg, pulling to the left on tight bends offering no grip in the dry, understeering badly and having excessive torque steer and therefore it seems you have a...
Big Bash,
Why dont you get rid of your Clio, youre obviously no fan of the Clio as the majority of your posts seem to be negative with regards to the Clio. Put yourself out of misery and let someone else enjoy your Clio.
If you read read the topgear review, youll find its the Integra that...
