When I had the 12K service the stealer reported the front pads were 50% worn. One year later I've just collected the car after a 24K service. Front Pads are now only 20% worn.. What a f**king joke. Whats the point in including this information when its clearly not accurate.

Windows uses ARC names to locate the kernel not drive letters. As you've said in a later post editing BOOT.INI could force a system start from the 2nd disk by in theory NTLDR is being started from the 1st disk. I don't know how this disk has been cloned, it maybe that there is no valid MBR...

Windows will boot from any drive letter. Keydogg, what are you trying to achieve here? Do you want to replace the old disk eventually or run with both?
