Lol ssshhh, ive only ever seen this on an old carb'd pugeot, that would almost die when the ignition turned off and then fire back into life lol!
So please tell me what im so obviously missing :P
Because the williams downpipe has a fatter flange :rasp: . at the bottom of the downpipe, compared to every other mk1 clio in the range. So therefore it has its own unique decat, because it requires a bigger bore and rotated flange at one end.
The diameter change has to occur somewhere on the...
i would bridge the 2 wires and see if it starts (albeit it with an innacurate/disabled knock reading).
But amongst thinking im quite good with electrics i have a hisotry of frying ECU's so try at your own risk :P
EDIT: realised it might be just a single wire, touch it to earth and see if the...
Almost 100% sure i saw this engine in craigs workshop before any work had been carried out, it was a full meganne engine. I remember taking the coil pack off of it because i thought mine wasnt fitting right on my engine.
Champion F136 are very good filters in my experience, and provide the best oil pressure.
They are Williams/Valver fitment, very slightly bigger than the normal sized renault filter, but will fit the F4R no problems at all. Its what i will be using.
Be different, do it. It's all the little changes that add up afterall!
At worst you will gain nothing but I can't see it being detremental to performane.
As title, I've only got an e14 and it feels one size too big. However ringing around the car shops locally they don't have any e13 only e12.
It's pissing down with rain and I can't be bothered to walk to the otherside of town to find out e12 is too small.
Thanks!
Am building an engine up at the moment, have just stripped the head and done a bit of diy beadwork. I now want the head looking like new, so you get it acid dipped yeah? I can't find anywhere that does it in the southwest, anyone got any reccomendations?
If not I've also been told...
Lol no it isnt lol! you are stating that at any time there are parts of the engine dipping into the sump (excluding obviously the oil pump) and touching the oil (probably reffering to the crank). THis doesnt happen, the danger is when its filled too much and the oil level rises above the...
Yes. Although is yove never done it before its still easy to get it a tooth out even when lining up to the marks. Just make sure when you put it on there is even tension on the cambelt either side of the camshaft pulley. If one side is uber tight and one is flapping about... have another go lol!
Dissasembled my head and put all the collets in the lid of a jar. Stupidly kicked the lid while moving about and lost half of them, where can i get new collets and how much should i expet to pay, is it renault only?
Mk1 1.8 16v silicon hoses will not fit. The only chance for 1.4rt is getting a custom set made which will cost an arm and a leg OR the only other place that might have them is hillpower but I don't think be trades anymore
What ive seen of Chipwizards was a joke.
My mate had his mk1 hybrid mapped by Wayne @ CW a little while back. Got the car back it was cr@p. idled at 1500rpm, the ECU was left out of the case under the scuttle panel to the elements, it got wet. The scuttle washers jets were not recconected...
For turbo, you want stock / low duration, but high lift camshaft. Catcams generally sell 1 high performance turbo orientated camshaft per engine series. Not sure about F4R though as ive not checked.
