I agree.
You may see very little change between the mentioned fuels, but as Rob said, if you used a fuel with a lower octane rating, you would see significant power/torque losses.
Hi mate,
I have had the CDX-MP70 in my Cup for ages now. I used the adapter from Connects2 (Model: DRNS002).
It can be found at http://www.connects2.co.uk/displaydrivers/Renault.htmhttp://www.connects2.co.uk/displaydrivers/Renault.htm
Fitting was very straight forward - the dash board does...
Most Japanese cars with air conditioning have inteligent ECUs. Under full load, the car will shut off the air conditioning, and resume it once the throttle has been lifted again.
Perhaps Renault have adpoted a system like this?
Does anyone know the work involved in having climate control...
He is correct about the Alarm/Immobiliser. Im not sure how many other countries use Thatcham as an indication of alarm quality, so Id imagine that the cars are built and then an appropriate alarm and immobiliser is fitted that conforms to the alarm insurance standard in that country.
Mine was...
As we all know, turbochargers heat the air as they compress it. By injecting a mist of water into the intake this heat can be reduced. The heat causes the mist to evaporate, which in turn lowers the heat (heat transfer).
On a normally aspirated car the air is not hot enough to evaporate the...
Yea mine works fine too.
You are correct about the Cup having a Sirius 34 - thats what came out of mine. What do you mean a code reader - wouldnt mind having a look at whats going on inside the R-Sport ECU.
You must remember that the first Cosworth engine Ford uses was intended for F1 use. The block was not quite reliable enough, so Ford were stuck with an engine they invested a fair sum of money into, and had a load of Sierra chassis lying around. This is how the first of the Ford/Cosworths came...
This is a great test, because turbocharged cars can cheat.
They dont really make any boost unless under load (i.e. driving), and most of the cars that are going to fail the test are likely to be heavily modified, so they can just turn the boost down a bit, pass the drive-by test, then race at...
The dynapack is the best and most accurate way to conclude power this side of taking the engine out.
The idea is that the cars hubs are bolted to the dynapack, taking tyre pressure out of the equasion. Accurate results can be produced time and time again.
I thought the GTT has a charge cooler (air to water)? This would make the CO2 idea a little more difficult.
Has anyone looked at water injection? The vapourisation idea works wonders for turbocharged cars.
Well my mum will be the predominant driver of it. A 6 speed sequential is a bit much for the road, and the R also comes with the Quaiffe Active Torque Biasing Differential. This would make the car a little more compramised, and would serve no purpose for the way it will be driven most of the...
I asked the guy about the differences and he said that its just driveability. The 2.5 litre is what was on loan to all the motor press i.e. Top Gear etc and look how well it did! The simple fact is that the 2.5 is no longer available. Id be happy with either.
It was a little A road roundabout, about a 1/4 of the size of J9.
Rob: Both engines use the Duratec block, but the 2.5 litre no longer exists. The entire range has been replaced with the 3 litre version - hence the GTO3 - Well done, youre up on your Nobles! ;)
The engine puts out 340bhp and...
My parents, brother, and myself all went to test drive a Noble M12 GTO3 yesterday and its looking probable that my parents will get one.
The car is simply amazing. It looks better than any car I have ever seen in real life, sounds superb, goes like stink, and the guy who took us out went...
Hi mate this has just happened to my 172 Cup! Its being fixed now.
Get it to someone who can assess it, but dont have the engine on for long or the power steering pump will cook itself.
You can use any good quality semi synthetic in there to top up, but as said, do not move or run the car unless you HAVE to and get on the phone to a main dealer.
Yea the film is well worth seeing. Make sure you know exactly what the first one is about before you watch it though or youll be scratching your head all the way through.
Ill be speaking to Renault today about possible causes etc so will let u all know the outcome.
Cheers guys
Laurence
Hi Guys/Girls,
For the last few days a knocking sound has been evident under hard acceleration. Yesterday I was illustrating this to a couple of mates on my way to see the Matrix 2, and the car all of a sudden broke!
The steering became really heavy (as if the power assistance was working...
