    Rock...believe it or not people in the UK do. My brother and his gf were over here for Xmas and we went away as a family and him and his gf climbed into the back of the 172 and put their seatbelts on.... then again...maybe it was indicative of my driving style?

    As far as I know the 172 fender has more flared arches, and at the front where the wider bumper is accomodated. I would have thought the back part of the fender would still fit since the actual body isnt changed much. You might try giving Sportech a call...

    That would explain why I had an ill fitting spare...the previous owner must have sold off all the original alloys when he put on the 16" and just put in a std Reno spare...what a nob!

    Well I didnt buy the car from Renault, I bought it from Honda, and it came with non std 16" wheels. Does anyone know if the mk1 172s came with 5 alloys or 4 alloys and a steel spare.
