    Try get the car into showroom condition. Every little thing a buyer can find wrong with the motor will detract from the value of the car in their eyes, so fix up everything you can...you will make back most if not all of the value.

    ABS light

    it flashes when you turn on the ignition and then goes off, or comes on when you turn on the ignition and then goes off? is the road a sand road? When you slam on brakes (emergency stop) do you feel a shudder in the brake pedal? if not then your abs is faulty

    Thats what weve been saying. Each car has its own "power band" in which it will perform at its best so in the 1.2 16V and 1.4 16V the range is 3750 - 5500rpm in the 172 its 5400 - 6250rpm ps. Tom...sorry mate...couldnt resist that one

    Am I losing it

    outside temp was about 18 degrees Oil temp, dont know for sure but the car was properly warmed up both times and the limiter kicked in at 7250 both times I just think its strange that one night the car is doing over 150 in 3rd and another night the car hits the limiter at 145
