Quite pleased with the tarting up I did on the engine parts ready for fitting.
Also managed to get the bottom end built up with new oil pump, dipstick tube, crank seal cover, water pump, windage tray and sump. Onto the head and timing now but need to get another timing belt kit after GAZ...
Thought you two were going halfers with this thing.
No probs mate for the engine as I was just keeping it for a rainy day. Not going to make it to KH today as I've got too much on unfortunately. Let me know if you need other parts you need and I'll dee what I've got.
Engine is going to a good home I see mate!
Ive had this engine from new and only fed it the best of fluids so be nice to it. :p

Looking good mate. Wish I had the skills and knowledge to do the wiring on mine I could ditch the OE ecu.
With regards to the rack bushes, why have you chosen nylon?
Cheers Mark! he inlet is something I have been working on for a while getting parts, working on the design, speaking to people and now finally getting the bits. I am going to trial fir it over the weekend to work out runner lengths then get it welded up next week. Fingers crossed!

But, got the block cleaned up and painted, bottom end built up already with wossner rod and pistons, acl bearings and arp bolts throughout. Painted the block black as it tends to hide the most dirt and once this is fitted it...
I won't be using vvt on my new engine and don't have the solenoid attached to the rocker cover so leaving a hole.
Whats the best way to fill the hole left with no solenoid?
From what I hear the in tank swirl pot is pretty good on the Clio and issues are rare.
On a scooby, anything under 1/4 tank on track you are asking for trouble.
