the portings on your inletmanifold are worked on/cnc machined. Matching them to the inlet ports+ to eachother as there are two manifolds bolted together , upper and lower ; in short.
When also getting a remap (such as the RS tuner by Fastchip.nl , nice product) to suit your mods it will give...
ask him what spraying costs..
pretty much more expensive and seems to be better than powder coating .
I was wondering the same thing a couple of weeks ago, went to the people that do the job (powder coating + spraying) and this is what they told me.
The spraying leaves a stronger / harder...
WHite wheels, i like the rally look ! Going to get me some next month :approve: Sexy Cup you got there !! (although i'm a Stealth exhaust liker)
I was wondering about the Sparco strut brace ; is this a noticable different ride or is it more a "cosmetic" mod ?
I have understood that...
did my aux belt not long ago, it's running stupidly close to the cambeltcover indeed. But not paperthin-close like you say, 1mm / 2mm space should be there like mine. Still stupidly close i think
i think you should get another (oem, Gates) belt for 10 pounds (?)
No Ben, the ic is the lower smaller one, the radiator is the big one and the filter is behind this one ?
Ah well , a pikey CAF should be allright to be pointed towards the filter
there's your problem i think.. The poly dogbone is stiffer so all the movement-stress will pass onto the other remaining mounts. Not too much trouble but be prepared to change these mounts more often. Maybe you even broke one of the top ones.
Mine were just thrown in there without these parts your mentioning (the Ebay ad with the sealrings etc..) :S
I'm now using/loosing tiny bit of oil... Could be why this is happening ?
Steve, when going "on the edge" and driving hard (which is what you do when wanting to tune your car this way?) ; linear power will keep you on the road.charger gets my vote ;)
comparing the two ; turbo + charger , charger is the winner !
Linear power seems best to me ; drive-wise +...
:S
Cars you're talking about are designed to be turbo'd ... cannot compare it to what we're talking about here ; which is turbo-ing a CLio, not desigend to do the job
I was looking at a turbo-set for my Cup once, also a low boost one . I decided against it after a testdrive in one...
Power delivery is linear as opposed to the turbo kicking in with a lot of torque from about 2500.
The charger runs on a belt , so runs along all the rev range meaning there's no "power kick" on the gearbox. That's the "safe " part i'm talking about.
As for the nicer drive ; imagine your...
You should REALLY read about more because there is a supercharger on the way , much safer/better drive !
search for supercharger , turbo will eventually wreck your gearbox
^^ allright, but still it must mean something to you when knowing the Ragnotti/cup rack i retained for Group N purposes ? When this is the case, if it's good enough for Group N, it's good enough for you ?
weight is right i think..
my cup used to weigh at 1020, maybe you know the cup has no airco, lighter seats, lighter glass used , no xenon lights , lighter (less) carpeting inside the cabin, no rearwindshieldwiper, no abs, no esp, etc.
this could well be a 100kg worth of difference
the...
Fred, you're wrong here. Mine has lost back seats, lost the fronts also to be replaced by 6,5kg Sparco's , aftermarket (K-tec) exhaust , steeringwheel aftermarket also.
So still a LOT of stripping left (like panels, carpet, dash etc. ) and my Cup weighs 960 kg's

This really helped me with my choice .. Ihave to make the decision soon, the 195 50 being the best priced option, but i think i'm going for the 205 because of the geometry ; check the link. It's a usefull one :approve:
