The belt kit is £125 and its 2 hours labour, its nothing worth selling the car over. Its not part of the cambelt so theres no timing/tensioning procedure.
Mine wouldnt come off, Ive read and saw the pic in the haynes manual about how you squeeze the tabs and pull off. In the end I had to butcher mine. The whole part needs removing from the pipes to fit samcos.
Down the drivers side you've got the belts, accessories and the charcoal canister. It could be any of these from a faulty water pump to a worn tensioner. Try and narrow down more where its coming from, e.g. from the belts area, or from the canister just behind the fog light.
Which engine is it, manual or auto, the part no for the normal one is 77 00 430 825. Id go down the 2nd hand/breakers route though and just pop a new mount in it.
The abs fault could be a faulty sensor, however id check all round the front and rear rings aswel. The ones youve took a pic of could do with a clean with a wire brush or a old toothbrush. As for the anti roll bar links, this is a common problem, your pic is correct, the new kits are not...
Ive got the k-tec one, it was actually made by Janspeed. Its on the standard exhaust, i havnt noticed any power or sound changes. I bought it because the standard one got damaged and Renault wanted of £400.
This is a confusing topic, confused by the fact that Renault dont know themselves. The original service booklet for the 172mk1 says 36k or 2 years.....
It routes in behind the wheel arch just under the master cylinder.
I beleive the weights are to reduce the vibration felt throught the pedal when changing gear at high revs.
