I agree with that, Clio's will always look higher due to there bubble shape and wheel in each corner.

In the top mount the centre bolt should be 44NM iirc, the others are 62NM Ive done the above on mine and has made a difference.

Yeah it is a bit of an oddball, the air con radiator is also on the wrong side. Unless its a intercooler?

They wouldnt fit anyway the centre bore is too small on Vauxhalls to fit Clios.

My steel 15" spare for my 172 seems a lot heavier that my 15" oz f1s.

Giles can you still get parts from that magic scrapyard that you go to? Im after some silver grab handles and silver door handles for a 172mk1. PS The Rsi interior is nice and different but the smell of the 172 interior wins it for me.

not sure, Renault do the kit with the belt and the 3 rollers or just sell the belt seperatly. Its also a good idea to change the aux belt £16 and the roller on that too while its all off.

I doubt it. Even on the mk2 Clios its the high spec ones where you can adjust the seat and thats not by much.

I did it once in my old 1.2 when I was delivering. Car did feel a bit nippier and sounded like a van.

Ive got a dent similar to that in my door pillar, if you want to hide it it might be worth getting the carbon fiber door pillars from k-tec or make your own.
