EssexGtR - My fogs dont work and I've changed the fuse. Not getting the dash light come up either so hoping that swapping the relay will solve it. Rears work fine though.
Can anyone tell me where the relay is located for front fog lights on a DCI model?
I've done a search and found the relay number... but where is it located? Under the engine bay with the other main relays?
Cheers,
dan
Need a refurbished set of injectors for my Clio DCI as the cam belt snapped and destroyed them (according to the garage anyway).
Anyone know a good place to try and get these from?
Dan
Thanks Matt. Some very useful info there.
I've found a head/block refurb company local to me who will supply and fit and a very good price and are highly recommended by a few garages round here... so they are collecting the car during the week.
Would have done the whole thing myself but just...
Its stamped into the log book. I've spoken to the garage who are going to look into it for me. But they recon they belt only has a 2 year warrenty..... plus i have no receipt only whats in the service book.
Ok sounds good.
I proffesional garage will be putting it/a replacement back together for me. I simply want to take the head of to inspect the damage before it goes in (i dont trust anyone lol).
Does the haynes manual cover this?
And I suspect at the very least it will need a new head, if not another engine.
Any recommendations for reburbished / second hand renault engines? Not too many choices looking on google.
Cheers.

Edde - As stated the car only puffs smoke when it takes a while to start. There is no smoke at all when flooring it or driving. I would have thought any kind of turbo seal problem would become apparent under these driving conditions as well?
Or put another way, the poor starting from cold and...
I took my clio to a garage to have a diagnostic check done. They used two different tools. The first gave a strange A/C code error (my car does not have AC) and the other gave an error that could not be identified.
The diagnostic tools used were:
socio technomotor - Error Code 19101 A
snap...
Anyone have a error code reader they could possibly hook upto my car this week at some point? Beer tokens waiting :D
Cheecky I know but worth a try ;)

No, but it idles perfect even when cold. Just takes longer to initally fire up. I had checked the glow plugs which appeared to be working although I guess they could just be not heating up enough?
I've been told that problematic starting when cold can be caused by a iffy temp sensor in the head. Does the car have two of these (one in the head and one in another location)? One for the ECU and one for the dash?
Reason I ask is because my dash temp sensor appears to be working fine but...
