mk2 clio? did you mean old clio mk1 but phase 2/3 or do you mean clio2 phase 1/2?
if you mean mk1 clio phase 2/3 then the rack is a fluid rack it just has an electric oil pump on the deisal model..
if you mean clio 2 phase 1/2 then there would be a lot of work and expense to fit the...
if you went by a retail price just for gen parts i bets its 300-400quid. you could shave some off that with non gen brakes, battery etc but id always use gen cambelt kits etc.
because its american. Obd laws etc were different. they say it will scan any car after 96 but that doesnt guarantee it scans european cars. you need a later type obd scanner. has anyone tried a scanner called obd 2 its orange in colour and listed on e bay a lot
yep there is a bit missing. it like a ring covered in rubber. See your local dealer or scrapyard. There was also 2 throttle body types for the same engine but in the clio and r19. Make sure yours isnt a r19 throttle body that someones fitted in the past.
you can get a modified bracket and dogbone mount that does away with the mounting point on yours that has sheared. Was a commen problem and it was an official renault mod. see your local dealer but if they havent a clue pm me and i'll try to sort the part numbers.
unplug that 2nd lambda sensor its only in place for obd cat testing. for some reason that doesnt make sense if you unplug it the fault code clears. there is a potentiometer on the throttle pedal and the throttle body. Make sure the garage have identified which potentiometer the fault code refers...
have you tried greasing up the outer anti roll bar bushes. remove them and grease them internally. Was a commen fault with old megane but the 172 bushes are the same so worth a try.
commen problem was the mid section however my mate had a non gen exhaust fitted and it held the cat off centre with the manifold which also produced a similiar noise. cured it by bending the exhaust so the cat was central.
think on clio's that age if you turn the lock barrel it wont activate the central locking on the other doors. if your plip led doesnt work when pressed and you've changed the batterys then you need a new plip. Approx £70
