Had my old VTS fail to start once and it was roasting under the bonnet. A sensor had gone in the exhaust and it had thrown in as much petrol as it could all at once, it burned as much as it could making it hot but then it was flooded so failed to start.

How much and how long? Is it better to do both sides at the same time or wait a few months till the other one goes?!? Is there anything else worthwhile to be done while its there? It had a service at 37000km and now its at 45000 so a bit early for a service? Thanx

Wouldnt that make the noise all the time though? It only starts at 60 and as soon as I drop below this it disappears!! As I get faster, it doesnt seem as loud but that could be the screams from the passengers drowning it out :devilish: Thanx

Thats the noise my car seems to be making every time I go over 60kmh. Its only happened/Ive only noticed in the last few weeks and it comes from all 4 wheels. Any ideas if somethings wrong or am I just noticing the noise now? Its a 2001 172 on 205/40R17s if that makes any difference. Thanx

Is the cable connecting a HU and a CD changer a standard connection? I mean, if I got a new HU and changer can I use that cable to connect them rather than having to rip everything out to route a cable? Thanx

Thanks people, I think Ill just ask the garage next time Im there, they sold the car in the first place then serviced it every time so they should know. I wasnt worried when I bought it coz they gave a 1 year cover everything warranty.

My 172s done 42000km but it had a new engine put in at 29k. I quite liked this when I bought it but I want to know what everyone else thinks? Ive no idea why it needed a new engine, I just know it got one.
