I bought a scanner to check my car out, nearly 100k on the clock and its had its share of issues of late so I thought - what the hell - lets check it out.
Not one single code is registered...
Feel robbed now.
Is this to be expected, and is there some reason it didn't pick my airbag light up?
Anyone point me in the direction.
The car has been popping on a light and limiting the revs for the last few days since I changed exhausts. Could it be a damaged sensor or restricted flow?
I have a new yellow light to stare at now. Came on today and my car went into limp mode.
Its a rectangle with a jagged line running across it (like of like electric or lightning). Any Idea what it is?
I've recently changed exhausts and wonder if I may have damaged a sensor but have also...
About 30 mins ago I changed my steering wheel, all the trimmings, battery off, airbag off, wheel off, however when reconnected the horn contacts didn't match, the airbag light came on and then the cable which coils around snapped.
The car still started at this point and I stripped it all back...
I've heard you can get refill tins to recharge your air conditioning when it gets a bit poop.
1. Is it better to pay the price and have a garage do it?
2. Is using these cans easy and do they work?
Noticed you can get them for £25 on ebay. Been quoted around £50 for a garage to do it

I have some new headlight washers and rather than doing the full job was gonna flush the system with hot water and pop the balls to see if the jets still worked.
How do you get the balls out without damaging the washer jet and is this just a lazymans way of fixing the issue?
I went for a compressed metal cat to manifold gasket the other day and they told me the system showed this as one part with no join, he wouldn't believe me till I brough in a cat from my boot and said WTF is this then?
What was the road condition like? If it was wet and a deisel spill this could cause you to loose the rear end, but travelling >70 in a 182 it would have to be a corner in excess of 90 deg to make the back go out that bad, shagged suspension or not.
I've drove with broken springs, leaky...
I had the choice of Duckhams, Magnatec and Edge. The book said Edge was best for the Clio, they were all the same price and came out of a row of drums which were labled as above. No reason to doubt them. I'll have to try taking off the fuel rail and having a look if its that easy.
Plus...
Bored this morning so I went out for a lil drive around Washington. On my way home I was passing National Tyres and they seemed quiet so I popped in for an oil change and to have my tracking checked.
I hate changing the oil myself as that filter is a b**ch to get off so was very pleased with...
