The test may show no contaminates but what about oil viscosity can that be tested.
Looks like you work at Sutton Hoo airfeild. Done a couple of track days there.
I would have thought the gearbox specialist would know what needs replacing, once he has it apart and can source the parts through the trade, can't work out more expensive in the end, can it.
Single used springs sell well to replace someones broken ones but 2nd. hand shocks not worth much at all. One off the younger fellas on Cliosport with not a lot of dosh may buy them for a few pounds. Stick em up in the For Sale thread, and help someone out.
When you have the tyres fitted ask them for the tracking to be checked for free, He's making some money out of you already withe 4 tyre sale, I'm sure you blag it.
A new section of your rim will need to be welded in, I paid £42 for a weld repair and £60 per wheel for complete refurbishing. So it's only worth repairing if your wheel is a Turini otherwise just buy a decent 2nd. hand replacement.
PS. a new tyre will be required as well, that cut looks...
You will also need some foglight surrounds to finish them off. They screw into what's call spire clips which you can buy in any car spares shop and screws to match.

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

The part no. is 5J0-8070619B9
As I only have one remote key I need to buy second one as back up. Will an aftermarket non remote key get into the car, disarm the alarm and get the car going.
Lots of brake parts set ups in this section, have a browse. most trackday enthusiasts are happy with these. Suspension wise there are many combos, try the car on a trackday and see what you think is lacking then go from there. Thats what I'll be doing soon as I just got my Cup going.
Aux belt drives the Alternator, water pump and Power steering pump and is run of the crankshaft pulley, it is visible at the bottom front offside of the engine bay, this one you can change yourself easily.
Cam belt drives the cam shafts and oil pump and is also driven by the Crankshaft pulley...
