Re: Road/Track 172
Throw is about the same as standard but without the normal play, the actual position is a lot closer to the wheels and feels loads better to use.
I rate them for build quality and the ride they give, was just interested in people's experiences on clios, as I know some of the other brands like gaz can be ok on other cars but the Clio kits are known for failing.
Has anyone tried these yet on track .
I run them on my focus RS and have to say I really rate them for the money, they give a better ride that some of the coilovers i had costing 3 times as much.
One of my fron Gaz shocks is really needing a rebuild so thought i might give these a try as they...
Re: Road/Track 172
Well after getting the doors and front windows fitted as I was planning on tracking the Clio and my focus at knockhill this weekend I've had to go back offshore :dapprove: So god knows when it will be back on track now.
The good news is buy the time I get home the rest of my...
Re: Road/Track 172
That was ment to say I am having problems with the central locking, I have also cut back the wiring to the tailgate when it was gutted so may have to trace back that wiring.
Re: Road/Track 172
Got my front windows through from acw can't thank them enough for the quick turn around an quality. Just hope my rears come through soon from p4p
Mum having a bit of a nightmare with the central locking , when I lock the doors with the remote they lock but then the...
Re: Road/Track 172
I did the inside an out and the base and colour coats wernt bad but have a couple o runs on the laqure. I got the paint from spray store and they advised put a blue base/ coloured primer over the white or it would end up too light.
Re: Road/Track 172
Had a bit of a set back as P4P now say my windows won't be ready untill the 27th ,so I have cancelled the fronts and re ordered them from ACW this time with sliders which should be here this week. This will allow me to get the car water tight and useable.
Make shift booth...
Re: Road/Track 172
I just drilled the holes in the outer skin for the 3 original screw fixings and took off all the electrics, I did have to cut off a couple of locating dowels to save drilling more holes in the door than needed
Re: Road/Track 172
I have now got my aerocatches fitted to the tailgate and today spent some time trial fitting my FG doors before hopefully painting them tomorrow. I have got the drivers door almost fitting perfect but the passengers side one is twisted slightly so harder to line up. I have...
Re: Road/Track 172
Got a light weight carbon bonnet last week and fitted my aerocatches, I have also gutted my tailgate and may hole saw around the edges aswell. This will just be a temp measure until we see if a tailgate group buy is going ahead with CMC.
It worked out cheaper getting the full set from P4P than getting the sides from ACW and rear from P4P, by the time I had added on two delivery charges and the border kit that would be needed for the ACW rear windows.
Nick I will take the FG tailgate if your willing to post, hoping to get my FG doors painted next week so would be ideal timing to do a tailgate as well.
Re: Road/Track 172
Diet Time
These arrived yesterday :), and should be picking up a carbon bonnet today. Last night I also ordered a full set of windows from Plastic 4 Performance and another set of aero catches. Im going to hold off fitting these until I see if the group buy for FG tailgates...
The rear screen is moulded in both kits and both kits come with the black borders, in the clubs port the side and door windows are just cut flat sheets wheres the pro is formed all around. I was just wondering how the fit is with the flat pieces in the doors where they will curve, I guess people...
Just been online to look at ordering my window set and there is two types available clubs port and pro. In the spec for both I can only see that the pro kit is fully thermo moulded is this really worth the extra £140 ?
I went with engine dynamics cams fitted them myself, which was a easy enough job they also come with a cam locking tool to set the cam timing.
If you do decide to go with ITB then if you go for Omex Sitech racing at Rosyth could easily map it for you as that's who did mine.
Thats my second track day this year and its been problem free, some more weight saving and a map tweek for longer trumpets and bigger injectors to come.
Yip you sold me the wing mirrors :)
I was going to come over and say hi , but ended up out on track alot as my mates 106 only lasted 3 laps then spat a shaft.
