My dilemma...my Cup is not likely to ever pass another MOT as I've taken so much out of it, and it's a high miler, without a speedo that shows the true mileage (fitted a 182 box after the original broke at 107k).
It's been maintained regardless of cost all its life from brand spanking new and...
Or not as the case may be.
Meh...
Useless first owners, probably never once gave it full throttle for 18k miles...I mean, who the f*** specs parking sensors on a 200!
And breathe.
...I had no idea this 'technology' was available so cheaply!
Bought a bluetooth OBD thingy on eBay, downloaded an android app for the Galaxy S, downloaded a demo version of the RaceRender video suite, played on the road for 20 minutes, played on the laptop for an hour and hey presto.
Loads...
These are proper cheap on eBay now so want to pick one up.
I've no idea where the OBD port is on the 200, so do I need a specific type, or will pretty much any one from eBay fit?
Thanks!
...or driving with one's head up one's arse
Out for a blast to scrub in my new PE2s and came across these two numpties...makes my blood boil! No matter how hard I try I can't get my head round why you'd want to take a lane 1/2 mile before you need to while you hold everyone else...
Opinions?
A really slow puncture has turned out to be a tiny hole right on the shoulder so not repairable.
Tyre's off and I've got the option of 2 Prestivo Sports at £80 each, or Michelin Exalto PE2 £160 each. They have no other stock :(
Thinking PE2s as I don't want to regret not spending...
Been trying it in the 200 and have been struggling a bit. The brake pedal's firm enough, relative pedal positions are OK, but the throttle response compared to my 172 Cup and Ignis is terrible! I give the throttle a stab, nothing happens, then what seems like half a second later the revs climb...
Came across this one on my way back from the Goodwood Pistonheads meet last weekend.
Not sure I dealt with it appropriately...should I have beeped my horn and shouted w***er out the window as I went past? Or should I have just not bothered stopping in the first place?
First time tried I getting it away without the ESP on. Rubbish launch but seems to haul well enough once rolling.
Rolling road in January, see what it's got. Hoping to get this lump to 130k+ as well :approve:
Excuse the new camera, stability is excellent in-hand, but it struggles a bit on the...
First dry session in the 200, tip-toeing and feeling my way around.
Came up on a 350/370Z that was struggling with the lines, but booted it down the straight. I was doing OK until I hooked 4th
Yesterday evening I waved goodbye to this
and said hello to this
then spent a late night working on the wife so I could take it here first thing this morning
and have spent the entire day doing this

Last lap of the day...have barely touched what it can do yet, can't wait...
Lots of time spent giving the Cup a thorough clean over the last couple of weeks (been made redundant!), still rough as f*** close-up (battle scars aplenty), but I think from a distance it's not too shabby.
Headlight correction and a change from yellow to black on the tow ring next :)
Whatever corners you intend to cut...don't!
I ran at Goodwood recently using some track tyres that were well over 7 years old - visual inspection showed no signs of the rubber perishing, and they had enough tread for a day and being a cheap accountant I thought I could get another day from...
Had a play with a Caterham R400 today in the roasting sun. Fantastic day, had the track pretty much to myself for the last two hours as most had buggered off for bank holiday things.
Considering its age I think the Cup's doing very well. I actually started to get annoyed today with people...
What's a ball park figure to put this right? Trying to decide if worth claiming on insurance.
Only seems to be cosmetic to the outer 'skin' as far as I can tell. Is it an easy fix?
£100 at Tesco...pick up from your local store. Worth a punt at that price.

Picking mine up tomorrow :approve:
I've always wondered what 2 hrs of exposure to this on a trackday is doing to my ears.
Gave a lift this afternoon to one of our engineers, who just happened to have the works db meter to hand so we headed off to the local DC for a blast.
Had a few runs through the gears, keeping it between...
Sometimes works as it should, mostly it doesn't though.
It refuses to wipe at all, or it wipes constantly (not intermittent) even if all wipers are switched off.
I'm guessing moisture in it somewhere.
Anyone else had something similar? If so, is there an obvious starting point?
Well sort of, looks better than it has done for the last 125k miles anyway.
Before
After
A broken spring discovered while having the cambelt/dephaser done necessitated the change, so on a budget went for Eibach Sportlines on the standard dampers. Still sits high but seems to...
This was what started me off on track driving, wife bought me the day as a present years ago and she's regretted doing so ever since.
The instructor was good/funny/slightly mad, liked my feet, and she kept egging me on to go faster
We were whupped by a diesel van ;) I blame Clarkie and his creative 'handicapping' LOL
Great day, weather was good, banter was good, cars were good, track was good. What else is there to add?
Graham in the Jag gets my vote for hero of the day!
