Ah, sorry no link. My phone just automatically creates hyperlink when I type ebay for some reason. I was looking at these:

A lot of people also remove the affected parts and paint them. Apparently soaking them in detol overnight causes a chemical reaction that removes the coating. There's a thread on here somewhere about it.
I've read a few threads about removing the headlight washers and replacing them with blanks as personally I think the washers are an eyesore. The removal itself looks pretty straight forward, however I'm wondering how you go about removing the pipework, as none of the threads mention this. I can...
Further update.
Remedial work is almost completed. Timing has also been checked and surprise, surprise it was out, despite renatec insisting that it was spot on. Photographs have been taken as work was being done too, so I will definitely be pursuing Renatec for a full refund for their shambles...
Rules have definitely changed as stated as my request also got rejected. Shame as I'm about the 11th owner so would have been interesting to see what they had on file. Oh well ?
I never really liked ph1s originally if I'm honest. I don't know what it is, but the more I look at them now, the more I do like them. Especially in flame Red. I'm definitely a convert ?
I've been considering one of these for a while as the standard airbox is a bit of an eye sore really and the fatty kit gets a lot of praise on here. I've also noticed that my standard airbox is missing the cold air feed pipe at the bottom that goes to behind the headlight, so I think it's time...
Quick update.
Response back from Renatec that they will refund me the cost of an aux belt kit and lower cambelt cover plus labour costs incurred once remedial work is carried out and I send them a copy of the invoice. Regarding the tensioner they told me it's a common failure, however...
Looking online it seems the eibach sportlines lower the car the most (45-50mm from and 30mm rear, while the eibach Pro kit, h&r and cooksports are all around 30mm.
My original 172 alloys are in need of a refurb, and my original plan was to get this done and then powdercoated in anthracite. I'm not sure how much I really like the standard wheels though and whether it's worth spending money on them. Turinis are a possibility, however I also really like...
I agree. Could have ended very badly. I even took it back to have it re routed and clipped back onto cam cover and he didn't even mention that the cover was broken and loose. Completely incompetent.
This is how they left the fuel line after doing the belts. If that line had moved a couple of mm then the aux belt would have chewed through it and I'd have had petrol leaking in the engine bay ?
I agree, it makes no sense. At the end of the day I'd have happily paid the extra money for the full aux kit rather than just the belt so I know it's been done properly.
Thankfully I've found a decent guy just up the road from me, however he's planning to retire soon so would be good to have another reputable place to take the car. Thanks ?
They seem to be trading off being a French car specialist, etc, and are even members of the which good garage scheme. What a laugh. I even had to go back there yesterday as when they did the belts they left the fuel line unclipped and it was sitting about 2mm above the auxiliary belt. Shocking...
What would cause one of the other pulleys to run out of true? As mentioned I've been advised that spring has been refitted incorrectly and is definitely bent. Will likely have the whole aux belt kit changed for piece of mind.
Nope. I did ask them if it needed doing but they told me they only change them if they are visibly worn or damaged. So much for being a Renault specialist. Knowing what I know now I would have insisted they do it regardless, but lesson learned.
It's annoying as the belt is brand new. I asked when they changed it about the tensioner and they said it looked fine, which is bizarre. The guy who's sorting it out said he'll inspect it when he takes it off to see if it's salvageable, but I may just ask him to replace the kit anyway.
I had my cambelt and auxiliary belt changed by Renatec in Bristol a few weeks ago. I've had to go back several times to have various mistakes rectified, which is a pain as I live near Cardiff. I have now found out that they have refitted my auxiliary belt tensioner spring incorrectly using the...
Thanks for spotting that.
Thankfully I have found out about a garage up the road who are good with clios so it took it for him to have a look at. He said the tensioner spring has been fitted incorrectly using the wrong bolts. He also noticed that my plastic cambelt cover is broken and not...
