    DIY dent removal?

A few shots of petrol filler area. There is actually a bit there, but not as bad as some thankfully. Will get it looked at too though...

    DIY dent removal?

Possibly, I think I'm about the 11th keeper lol

    DIY dent removal?

Yeah, 15 year old French metal unfortunately. Not checked underneath on petrol filler side, but there's nothing visible on the paintwork thankfully. Will get both arch liners taken off by bodyshop and checked and cleaned behind when I get it sorted. Don't suppose you'd have any idea on cost?

    DIY dent removal?

Thankfully the other side and petrol filler area are OK.

    DIY dent removal?

Looks like I will definitely be requiring the services of a body shop. Found this earlier where rear quarter meets bumper and want to get it sorted before it gets worse. I assume it's where cr*p build up in wheel arch behind it and it begins to rust? ?

    Renatec Bristol - avoid.

Paid part cash, part credit card. Am wondering if it may be worth speaking to card provider to see if some could be recovered through them.

    DIY dent removal?

Yeah, I thought as much tbh. Most people would probably barely notice it, but because I know its there it does my head in lol

    Renatec Bristol - avoid.

So after more or less being called a lier by Renatec and really having to grit my teeth, I am now pursuing them initially through the Which trusted trader scheme (which laughably they are a member of), and then potentially through the small claims court if I get no joy. Here's some more snaps of...

    DIY dent removal?

I have a really annoying shallow little dent on my tailgate. I've tried removing it using a cheap suction puller off ebay (pointless), and also by heating up with a hairdryer and using compressed air, again with no luck. As much as I'm starting to like iceberg silver, it really does show up...

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Cool. I'm assuming the pipe just routes down the back of the engine in the bulkhead, so would be easy to pull out if needed?

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Definitely makes me more eager to plant the loud pedal just to get the intake noise lol

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

I've also noticed that the car seems to drive a lot better with the induction kit fitted. I know a lot of people say it's placebo and just noise, but I swear it feels a bit quicker. Certainly revs a lot more freely than before at the very least without any flat spots ?

Tried this morning and it worked. Turned ignition on, off then turned key and started first time ?

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

So that would replace the upper plastic pipe and connect directly to the throttle body? I think samco do them, but as you said they certainly aren't cheap new ? Out of interest, what do you do with the existing breather pipe when you fit a silicone elbow?

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Sorry, meant where the alloy pipe joins the original plastic pipe from the throttle body. One of these maybe, although probably don't need one tbh :https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/322324018105

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

I may get one of those silicone reducer/joiner connections to go on the throttle body end just to give pipe I bit more length, although to be fair I think it's probably OK as is so will see how I get on.

    Another jc5 bites the dust

Oil change didn't make any difference unfortunately, even with the addition of some Lucas oil stabiliser. It hasn't really got any worse in the couple of months it's been doing it thankfully, however I know it will need sorting out eventually. I've heard of some people's boxes lasting like this...

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

I found the same thing in the end - no bracket or cable ties required as fits nice and snug in front of battery.

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Finally got it fitted. The non swaged pipe that turned up was stainless steel so was too heavy. Ended up buying a Ramair alloy pipe, although I had to hacksaw the damn sages off the ends so pipe ended up slightly shorter than I would have liked. Looks OK though and sounds fruity ? Will probably...

    Another jc5 bites the dust

This fills me with dread as mine will need doing in the near future due to developing a whine. Not planning on doing the job myself due to lack of ability/experience/tools. Wondering how much a garage will charge me to fit a used box after reading this ?

    Lambda sensors?

Ha, a bit like buying my Clio as a cheapish runaround and then slowly but surely having plans to spend a few grand on it over the next few years. Funny how they do that to you ?

With the stage 1 map, which I think is the 98 ron one they're just over 200 quid. Not sure if that's decent value when compared to a bespoke remap...

    Lambda sensors?

I don't think I'd rule out an RS tuner completely. A lot of the issues seem to be regarding people buying second hand ones, so would need to buy new if I did.

Yeah, it is a shame as plug and play can be a definite advantage sometimes. Thanks for advice ?

Based in South Wales. Read about RS tuners, but they sound like more hassle than they're worth lol.
