    Lambda sensors?

Had it for a couple of months. I'm not 100% as always nurse the car a bit from cold anyway, although I don't recall it being this noticeable until recently. From what I've read it does seem to be a pretty common trait (something to do with passing emissions regs I think). I plan on replacing...

    Lambda sensors?

AFAIK Car was pretty standard when I got it although can't be 100% sure I guess. I run it on Super Unleaded also.

    Lambda sensors?

Ai, probably. Is there a way for them to be physically tested? Car was on clip a little while ago and showed nothing. Symptoms are only when cold until temp gauge rises a couple of marks. Car is holding back and possibly missing slightly. On a chilly morning sometimes won't start on first...

Removing brace bar between ecu and slam panel?

Think I'll leave it in place. Plus it gives me something to attach to bracket for my fatty induction kit to ?

    Lambda sensors?

I'm looking at replacing my pre cat lambda sensor to see if it solves my car's hesitation when cold. Where is the cheapest place to get a decent one? I've seen Bosch ones on ebay for just under £50, while euro car parts want nearly £100 ? Also, are both the pre and post car lambda's the same...

Removing brace bar between ecu and slam panel?

In the interests of tidying up the engine bay a bit, is this bar necessary? I'm sure Renault must have put it there for a reason, but are there any negatives to removing it?

    Aircon Deleting Kit.......Why?

Fair point. Just seems madness that anybody would pay that when you can source the parts yourself a lot cheaper.

    Aircon Deleting Kit.......Why?

Bit of an old thread bump, but how the hell can Ktec justify nearly £450 for their air con delete/cup setup? The cup alternator is around £150 for a recon unit, so they're charging £300 for brackets?! Edit: I assume the alternator they supply is new, but still that's a lot of money...

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Out of interest, what accounts for the difference in sound? Is it because the Ktec pipe goes all the way up to the throttle body? Visually the Ramair and Ktec filters themselves look almost identical.

Yes, but if you get the Ktec one you gain an extra 1000 HP apparently ?

    Renatec Bristol - avoid.

I think he's just trying to get out of paying anything tbh. Think he's also upset I've left negative reviews online, but quite frankly what does he expect?

    Renatec Bristol - avoid.

Apparently he's a member of the which trusted trader scheme. They have an ombudsman service so I guess that's my next port of call. Just so fkn angry that he's basically acusing me or lying when I have photographs to back up my claims. He's also requesting proper printed invoices for the work...

    Renatec Bristol - avoid.

So car is back and I've sent invoice to Renatec. They are now refusing to pay and implying that I am somehow embellishing the truth. Looks like it may be the legal route then. I'm fuming and half tempted to drive to Bristol and confront him, but I know it'll only make things worse ?

    In need of new brakes

It's mot time in a few weeks and my front discs and pads have seen better days. The rears aren't much better either. I'm looking at this kit on ebay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/162360163242 Decent quality and value? From the searching I've done...

Cleaning old oil and crud off engine

Apologies if this should be in the engine threads section, however it is cleaning related ? My car has quite a lot of old oil and grime all over the bottom part of the engine, I assume from historic oil leaks, etc. When I first got the car there was a leak from the cam oil seals which has now...

    Iceberg 172 Cup daily

Yup, very rare indeed. It's funny how iceberg silver seems to be the most common colour for non cup 172s, yet the rarest colour for cups.

Yeah, the non swaged pipe should definitely fit a lot easier. Don't really see the need for swaged ends with jubilee clips anyway.

No worries. Did have a look on ebay yesterday but couldn't find any. The Halfords near me aren't the most knowledgeable bunch either ?

Gearbox mount bolt under battery snapped

If it's the dog bone that's gone I'd advise against a polybush replacement. I'm reverting back to a standard one from a polybush as the vibration is horrible.

Parts needed for fatty induction kit

Tried fitting the parts yesterday and had a bit of a nightmare. Discovered that I had the bigger type battery, so had to buy an 063 to make enough room for the air filter to fit. Then discovered that the ASH alloy pipe would not fit onto my 70mm Ramair filter no matter what I did. The swaged...
