Can't open the link for some reason, but from memory I think I got some M6 bolts off ebay. Didn't use them in the end as went down the induction kit route ?
Checked the torx bolts on the check straps last night. Drivers side was a bit loose, so tightened it and doused both sides in WD40. Ideally I need to take the door cards off and grease them up properly, but they're better for the time being.
Thanks. Should have researched first as have found a couple of threads about it. Will see if the bolt has worked loose, but if not looks like I'll need to replace them.
Both the doors on my 172 make a cracking type sound when opened past about halfway, with the passenger door being worse. I've sprayed the hinges with WD40 to no avail, could it be loose bolts somewhere? Thinking back my old valver was the same, as was my R11T, although the doors on my brother in...
Just to confue things my indicators still self cancel, so I'm wondering if this means that the boss does have the lugs after all. Won't be able to whip it off and have a look until next weekend now either...
Yeah, heard mixed reviews about YB.
Even though mine is a 172, I'm assuming it still needs the lugs as has traction control fitted. I guess the version without the lugs is for ph1s and 172 cups.
Yup, looks like it.
Will hang fire for a bit as apart from the warning lights it's all good. I've also got a house move coming up and have spent far too much on the car recently lol. Having said that, I got the Momo wheel for a decent price, so even buying a momo boss isn't too bad, as can...
@bloke
Looks like that may be the case, as the boss was previously fitted to a ph1 so I guess wouldn't have needed the lugs, although will double check when I fit horn stalk. Boss still fits fine but obviously will throw up the traction control warning light. Would a new momo boss solve this?
Just done a bit of reading, and it appears that you can disturb the steering angle sensor by moving the airbag wires. Definitely moved these around a bit when I was fitting the resistors so that would explain it. Funnily enough I do have a fault with one of the rear wheel sensors, but that only...
Just when I thought I'd managed to fit my aftermarket steering wheel without any issues, the baguette throws me a curve ball as usual ?
Fitted resistors in the two airbag wires which has prevented the airbag warning light from illuminating, and when I turn the key and start the car all the...
Great, thanks. Sounds like I can just leave the existing horn wires in the boss and just fit the ph1 stalk and I'll have a functioning horn. Thinking about it, don't ph1's have a horn on the steering wheel and the stalk? That may explain the wiring.
So I fitted my Momo race steering wheel today and even though I'm yet to test drive it, it looks and feels awesome. Put some resistors in the airbag connections, so no warning lights on which is good. Currently don't have a horn connected as will be getting a ph1 stalk, and I'm wondering how I...
Seems like most clios have dented bonnets from people pushing them shut. Even the owners manual tells you to drop the bonnet, but so many people still push ?
