Searching ebay randomly Thursday night, Happend across this and clicked buy it now within 10mins of finding it :D
Picked it up yesterday, Needs a few bits (which I already knew!), Dephaser rattle, leaky rad, covered in dents from hailstones and finally the brakes are shocking where its been sat...
Cheers bud.
I've been meaning to update this, and since rain is stopping my progress this morning, I'll update what I can.
Firstly, had a load of bits turn up
New track rod inners & outers, Heater resistor, Dogbone mount and foglight.
Also had a package from G172 turn up, Brembo discs and...
I am, Done two, just two more to do when I find the time!
I converted all the dials etc to LED's myself, and it says renault due to my steering wheel controns on a non standard radio.
Cheers dude, Should pop up mine sometime or meet up somewhere.
Its worth checking all the electrical conections are clean first, often a cause of getting hot. The 13mm on the alternator wants checking, as does both battery terminals and the earths behind the headlight for the battery.
Get a full beam from a sport, handbrake cables etc. ABS sensors won't plug in, probably have to cut and solder them, not an ideal way to do it, but reasonably sure thats the only way to do it, however you might be able to find the right sensors (most likely from a 1.6 or DCI 100).
Arches might...
Cheers guys. I've had the actual car for nearly three years, however it was broken and left on my drive for two years, fixed january this year and I started the sport conversion about six months ago, bit by bit.
I've had pumps apart (when learning about why they f**k up!) and I doubt you could do much with it really. I've never looked at the pump on the 2.0's (and 2.5's) as per my Trafic, Wonder if they would be of any use. Or a later pump from the 110's they put in the newer renaults (and Dacia's!)
I love how my sly comment about two stroke oil has sparked a huge amount of attention lol!
I assume you're a Ford Apprentice then? Probably up at Dunton a bit? Do a fair amount of work around that area, inc for employees.
Whats next on the Clio?
Just replied to your post in my other thread lol.
If I had the right offer, It would go, However I don't intend to sell it or break it. I would love to get decent power out of it, I reckon you could get more than 130 if you played with nozzles/injectors, where theres a will, theres a way!
No doubt you'll be impressed.
Thats something I've luckily never touched on this one, Never seen inside the engine, and the longer it stays like that, the better IMO! When I do see inside, it'll be getting some mods.
Well, I fitted aircon earlier this year, and figured this is just a simple...
100ml to 20L of diesel, you should be able to work it from that, dont have to put full tank in that way too. Such a small amount it mixes well and you should notice a slighty quieter engine, maybe more mpg and it adds back in the lubrication missing from modern diesel.
You don't need a specfic...
FU on all levels :)
Panel prepped then sprayed with a couple of light coats, They are Satin.
Yep, google it for mixed views on it, Personally I've tried it in a few common rails and it does seem to improve everything.
With the nice weather this morning, and having finished the 172 I rebuilt, I figured it was a good time to give the car a quick wash, fit a replacment skoda splitter and get a couple of pics, nothing special.
Plate isn't straight, its velcroed on and I forgot to straighten it
I've nearly sorta finished the little DCi, as much as any project car is.

I'll try and get a vid then, and don't bother with buying a exhaust off a 1.2 or nowt, the diesels aren't that loud with no exhaust at all tbh. Similar plans to me, although I want a FMIC too, then remapped for power.
Bit now and then, Hardly any to write home about. Does need a new air...
