It sounds like road noise, But it sounds like resistance.. Im wondering if its a combination tracking and very possibly the one wheel being the wrong way round... Im really unsure though.
Im going to whip the wheel off tomorrow and look for any marks.. If not then tracking i guess.
I took the rear arch liners out, They where touching the rear tyres so i thought no chance of it not rubbing...
Fronts i can get my finger between the tyre and the shock...
I dont think anything is rubbing, Im wondering if the noise is the tyre on the wrong way round? (OUTSIDE showing on the...

It sits very nicely. The 16"s fill the arch gap with the pro kit springs pretty nice.
Only thing i need to get sorted is this slight noise..

Been for a drive again, Its slightly noticable, Im sure nothing is rubbing but there is still a slight resistance noise..
I think it could be the very edge of the tyre so to speak brushing. I will look for marks in the chalk tomorrow.
Would a tyre mounted on the wrong was cause any problems?
I have just refurbished 172 alloys and put them on my 1.2.
Lowered on Eibach pro kit.
I took the rear arch liners out as they where touching the tyres.
Front there is about 4mm clearance from the shock strut.. When driving i was getting a very light resistant sound its hard to describe...
Im debating now to just use normal lacquer.
Never realised the 2k was 200ml.. Going to need about 4 cans just to get a light coating aren't I ?
Is Halfords wheel lacquer any better than Halfords standard lacquer?
I have a 3M respirator mask, That will be ok wont it? Im just not sure what to use on my eyes, I will do it in the open air for good ventilation.
James the Auto clear was the white cans i was talking about Didn't think about the size of the cans.. As you've said the Auto clear is 400ml.. Where...
I did it in store, The bloke too a copy of my V5 and driving licence card.
I guess they will do that?.. Can you not send them photocopies..
Its only because they need it by law for the numberplate stamp, And i think they have to hold copies?
This stuff air drys faster and gives a better "petrol and scratch resistant" finish.
Apparently the difference between normal and this is a big difference.. and seeing as these are alloys i want a good finish on the face of them.. also the drying faster than usual is the part im attracted to...
Im currently refurbishing my newly aquired alloys.. planning on finishing them off with 2k lacquer..
Anyone got any links to cheaper.. or better 2k than this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390025565938&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1155wt_939

Fitting springs is about a 2-4 hour job with a mate helping.. All depends how how smoothly everything goes.
Rears are a 30 min job.
Fronts are harder, Mine took total of 3 hours because the bolts where rusted up.
In a workshop with air guns id say an hour or less.

If your looking to go low, Coilovers
On the cheap coilovers.. k tec
If your looking for a combo of low, better handling etc.. then some good well known coilovers.
If your looking for a subtle drop and slightly better handling.. imo.. Eibach sportlines springs.
