Just got some calipers but the last muppet has painted them gold (well half of them and very badly) At the mo they are covered in paint stripped and have beeb for bout 5-6 hrs and the paint is showing no sign of coming off :( Sanding is gonna take ages any other suggestions?

As above really, ever since I had to take the starter out and put it back in, the battery light has been coming on randomly when Im driving but not for very long normally :S whats this all about??

As above (just saw that other thread on the FP) it makes a really loud noise when priming and just generally pretty loud! Obv when low on petrol its v loud but now its just loud full stop. Is this the first signs of it going?

So took the fan + radiator out the valver yesterday... got the radiator back in but now I can't get the bloody fan back in!! Good old Haynes says "Simply pull the fan out and to refit push it back in and do up the screws" problem being there is hardly any room because of the inlet manifold :(...

Need it welded round this area, prepared to travel a reasonable distance, anyone around this area that could do it for me? -Sam

Took the ditzy cap off today among other things, and its pretty shafted all the contacts inside are totally black and worn and the centre connection is buggered as well... Question is could this lead to engine over-heating? I heard if the ignition timing is changed it could cause the engine...

Hmm it gets worse, loosing coolant plus I looked earlier seems to be some sort of white foam in the expansion tank? No mayo in caps or dipstick etc what could this be?

No mayo in the cap at all, or in the dipstick, can;t see any visible leaks its not dripping or leaving a puddle, and no lose in performance! Whats going on?? Seem to be loosing lots of coolant, engine runs v hot but no idea where it's going! Aux belt needs replacing obv this drives water...

Took apart the mechanism earlier, put some WD40 and bit of grease into the tube? part... seems to have made it slower though :( Any tips on how I can speed it up, going down its fine, back up it takes aggggggggggges

Im getting really tired of exhaust breaking etc so gonna get aftermarket! Only wanna spend around 100-120 max and only want cat back basically... Any advice? am I dreaming when I say £120 max for aftermarket?

Right last thing left to change before MOT on Thurs so any advice for doing it? Gonna do it with the haynes but just wandered if anyone has any advice/tips from previous experience!
