yeh exactly, ball joint either needs to break where the ball fits in the cup, or come out of where it locates in the hub, which shouldn't be possible unless the bolt is missing, so if the bolt is missing there is blame.

your alternative is to replace all your ecu's with used, you need matching set of Engine ECU, BCM, decoder ring, and key chip.

was the bolt missing out of the bottom of the hub which secures the ball joint?

have you removed the metal ecu cover box, as it has a tendancy to chafe through the wiring loom and throw up all kinds of faults.

wouldn't mention it myself as the braided lines could just have been replaced OEM ones same with pads and disks, doesn't mean you asked for that type to be fitted.

as above they only sell the complete arm with balljoint for all the 172/182's. The normal clio ones bolt spacing is different where it bolts to the arm, some places do non genuine but the only time i have ever bought a non genuine one for an RS they gave it as the same part for all including...
