VW= Boring imo, people rave about the interior etc... Just cheap plastic of various textures and most are a dull drive. They might be more reliable but it will always be a golf, or a passat, the words alone make me yawn tbh.
they do run extremely rough when cold, some suffer worse but unless its stalling etc and its not normal when warm i wouldn't worry about it as its the same on all RS models.
Connector gets very corroded inside, you can get a repair loom from renault, we also sell them, I get a call every couple of days about them, becoming common on the clio 2.
Should it not be on the notes of the test sheet? annoying as i get loads of people ringing it up brake compensators for 172 cups then i have to explain.
bolt has sheared, need a new bolt and the broken part extracting, probs been like it since he did it, looks like the tensioner is resting on the alternator bracket.
all the non RS clio mk2 ph2's are pearl black so matching up should be no problem, a new wing non genuine is about 40 pounds, and a good bodyshop should do it for 150 cash max imo to spray the wing and the door.
seems ok, and the previous damage doesn't look to be too bad really, as said though for the bit extra a straight one seems tempting really just for ease of resale if nothing else.
the inspected ones from what ive gathered previously are not Cat D on the HPI but are on the accident damage register, as inspected. Either way it makes no odds really.
the actual relay box part that goes under the dash can be replaced on the ph2's as far as i know, there is a coded part to it but that can be swapped over.
