was bidding for that car some time ago, wonder why they are selling at this stage? unless they ran out of cash, at least clean it and take some better pics ffs.
as said it wont appear on any register,
We were talking about your car yesterday, my mate who i do the damaged repairables with works at car clinic in doncaster as his day job, he said your car had come in and it was awaiting an answer. If your not happy with the repairs then it will be done...
you really should get a 2nd opinion though or maybe speak to a few specialists, if you can find someone breaking a ph2 172 you need the engine ecu, bcm, decoded ring and key chip and its plug and play.
good cheap car this ;) should have run when you had the chance ;)
on a more helpful note... im guessing it could have been unplugged (depending on how the box was removed) so possible bent pin on the connector?
the electric steering isn't powered on the aux belt, its a manual rack with a powered column, sometimes the motors make a bit of noise but not known bad vibration, with it been a diesel the engine does tend to produce a lot of vibration so just check all the mounts are in good order.
rip off imo, its clearly had a front end in it (no stickers on the grill), and the speedo goes off the abs so what would it need a new 'speed sensor' for? they are going to struggle to sell it for anything more than 1/2 that imo.
headlamp needs to come out, probably a bad seal where the ballast attaches to the bottom, they do tend to get water in, probably be a case of removing it and drying then refitting.
brake fluid level, they do leak a little around the cap but it probably means your brake pads are low. and its lowering the level in the reservoir as a result.
if your handy, you might be able to remove the front undertray and arch liner and get a feed from another battery onto your battery. other than that smashy smashy ;)
take it somewhere decent and get it regassed, you have probably got a small leak somewhere. The click you hear is the compressor kicking in, so thats eliminated it from been the compressor not powering up.
