Just lock the car with the key.
Easy to do
Open the passenger door (or drivers if you have one with a lock on it ie not cups and onwards cars) then press the centeral locking button (locks the boot and other door as such. Then close the door and lock that with the key and hey presto the cars...
172 has a 4 into 1 manifold.
Nope cat fitment not that simple from memory
To get a 182 manifold onto a 172 you use a 182 cat usualy and cut it to fit the 172 exhast pipe
yes it is noticable the lighter wheels give a huge reduction in unsprung mass so the suspension reponds to change better.
I'm sure there a member on here with a Cup racer or works for a tea and they should be quicker even without T/bs thanks to there gearbox particulay round a track.
The boost gives you air power depend how much fuel you put into the air put to much in and you get black smoke ie unburned fuel so you up the boost.
Stock boost levels will with the right injectors set run way more power than your running.
You could but turbo a 1.2 you could maybe get 150hp and its not as reliablt or cheap as a 172 so why bother.
Theres cams out for it though bodies cna be made for there chargers you can buy turbo use the one the Vauxhall tunning compnay use etc as thats sized well.
Thats down to mapping though.
Mike hadn't srted on the tunning potentail though there loads could be done but its very expensive vs a VAG engine power.
How coem your binnign the PAS rack or least not using an electric one?
Are you keeping the air con etc what about the wiring cutom made...
Stock ECU could be remapped but realy since it only holds one map you'd be best IMo going stand alone so you can have one map for normal fuel one for E85 as such.
Depends what wheel you use a good supplier will tell you you ned adapters though usualy they come with the right kit
No idea on recomendations I like and only use the standard one.
Airbags will be a problem have a read here how to stop the light...
Fuel is more important in a diesel in a petrol boost means power in a diesel boost just mean air fuel means power.
Sounds like the mapper need to adjust the map where did you go?
Do a search trough the forum pmurry had this issue on a car from memory now the remap was requesting more boost or somthing and caused a propblem a bit like this.
Otherwsie its loom trouble but the mapping due to its coincidence timing is IMO the issue. You don't need more boost annway.
There are compnaies who can remove the imobiliser codes from the car.
IMO forget it it can be a lot of hastle only worth it if its sold to someone who is going ie a valver trnaplnat and wants the car stand alone.
The barrel doens't control anything.
The new sensor is £25 then the new loom is £25 Fitments about half an hours labour so there not that cheap then gain they most likly have a 1 hour minimum charge.
Fitments not difficult though if you have the knowedge or anopther local good garage.
Glad to find out it all worked out in the end.
A guide would be handy with pics etc I've meant to write a proper one but never manged to get motivated enough
Contact a garage who sells cars with there plans and check.
You'd I'd imagine have to contact them to check they will autorite payment before starting work at a garage incase its a bad rep/expensive garage.
Yep they are IMO the cause of the 182 brake problem with sliders sticking and fluid needing chnaging so much.
Yep turini or the dynamic wheels (15's though) or the 172 wheels are a better idea much better at letting the brakes cool aftermarkets there some good stuff out difficult to get any...
Why post if you don't know what your on about? Remoarks like that are going to ake the owner/the person your telling look right stupid when they go blazing into the garage clamining to know better than he mechanic and that the mecanics trying to rip you of.
As said in the other thread. the...
