I always fit hid kits to my cars as they are far brighter than standard and look better too.
i always use 6000k if you have gone for something stupid like 12000k it might be the case that you can't see anything. if you have around the 6000k mark and can not see anything you have either fitted...
its right next to the trafford centre. I'd say its about half an hour from leeds so you should make it with plenty of time to spare. I can't see anyone going anywhere till at least ten.
i bet i could find wings and bumper in my colour for about £50 in the scrappers. just need to ditch the halfords sports badge off the boot and the 2.0 off the side and i've got my self a nice sleeper.
Whats needed to convert a phase 1 front end to none sport spec? is it just front bumper or do i need to swap wings aswell?
There are a couple of reasons for wanting to do this, ph1 172 bumpers are rare and very expensive from renault so i don't want to smash mine up while battering round back...
lol :rasp:
i'm off to europe next year for a road trip i was going to use the vec as its pretty quick and good mpg 50+ on the motorway but after a long thought i decided i'd have far more fun in the clio.
ultimatly you'll have more fun in the clio but the diesels are nowhere near as boring...
I went out in a civic type r engined one at the zcars factory and i have never been in anything so fast. They are absolute animals and i would say the certainly are evo beaters and also with it being so small its a lot more fun. I wish i could afford one :(
They do look nice but watch a hyundai coupe driver next time you see one, they always have a point to prove its not just me and my mate that think this my dad even mentioned it lol
mine is higher than standard even with the sportline due to there being no weight. it was a lot more planted with full interior and at the correct ride hight.
Mines on eibach sportlines and with the lack of weight the handling is rather twichy. i think it needs lowering more with coilovers with custom springs for the new weight of the car.
as for power to weight some are getting close to 200bhp per tonne
the car's purely for country lane fun
instead of spending loads on tuning to get a few bhp i could save weight for a better power to weight ratio. When i can't get the power to weight any better with the standard engine then i'll start spending on engine mods.
losing weight is free also, and its not like i need any of the stuff...
They are silly priced most kits for them. I'm well impressed with mine just got some bushes that need replacing on the back then i can get the geometry all set up.
