save yourself a load of cash and do it yourself? only requires some sanding to get the smooth and then get emn sprayed by a shop. Or if you can get a cheap set from the breakers then they dont need as much work on them as they are already smoothed
tbh apart from the horrid wheel arches, i think putting a rs engine into a fiesta is probably a good idea if youve got the time and money to spend on it, looks wise hideous though
thanks for the advice guys. think it is probably safer to go for a dual orbiter from what most of you are saying, and i do realise how expensive proper detailing is, but am all up for learning
JUst wondering whether someone would be able to give me some advice about this machine polisher.

Im a complete novice with one of these things but i know you get what you pay for with machine polisher, but i...
I am unable to hold it in any longer so i thought i had best start my project thread.
Ive always taken a keen interest in cars and seen as though this is my first car i knew i wasnt going to be able to get anything fast performance wise as insurance would charge me a bomb. The plan was just...
tbh if your insured third party on a rep like i am i wouldnt bother telling insurance, well i havent. they are all standard parts just off a different model, ive sprayed my lowering springs black to make em look standard and havent slammed it to the ground, ive also got a stealth exhaust which...
ive just got all my stuff back from being sprayed at the bodyshop as im in the same boat as you mate, luckily for me a friend of mine has a entire sport kit going he wanted rid of so i got that off him, i would say your best bet is to keep and eye out for indivdual parts on here and on ebay...
yeah lower grill wont fit, but to make it fit would need a lot of work and would just look stupid i think, top grilles just a straight swap, imo id just stick with the top grill
what i did on my rep is spray my smoothed bullets the same silver of the 2.0l 182 bullets, therefore it looks standard but am not lieing about whats under the bonnet
strangely enough the exact same thing happens to me, and its nothing in the boot cos i had it all out to check, only happens when i turn right and comes from back left! strange! would love to know what it is
very true, there is no way am going to pay anything near that, i just thought that not all the people at 18/19 that have an rs one would be daft enough to pay out that much on insurance, maybe i was wrong though.
really i never thought that postcode would make a difference, put it this way i live in a quiet village, not much trouble so i would think it would be a low risk area
I know there are hundreds of threads on insurance prices on rs's so im trying to make it more specific. Im 18 coming up to 19, with a years no claims, and looking at getting a 172/182 in the near future. Got enough for the car but all the quotes am getting are more than the car itself and am not...
