You realy should remove the cams and use your old ones. The 172 cams are different higher lift so in theory more power but the igniton etc timing wrong for the cams and the VVT not working means the cams won't be right.
He won't like doing them though.
5.1 hours officails to do it can be done in less if you know what to do.
Make sure he has the right tools and stuff enough good garages have messed them up before now.
Ps the cambelt kit alone is £120 then £13 for the aux belt so thats cheap labour...
Have they changed the cabin air filter? Thats cna be a problem.
Massive oil loss could be a number of things did the garage use a new sump washer as they leak if you don't.
Yep its slightly differen engine same series as such though.
A member on here has done one and there another 2 been done.
You need to realy cut the subframe a bit and weld some box section to get the strenght back if your using the 6 speed box the 5 speeds fine the VAGs a bit smaller in...
Check the carbon canister miaybe its bust.
Check the temperatrue sesnor and the TDC sesnor one of them might have failed easily also check/clean the throttle body.
Fuel filter as said is good for 150k.
Doesn't come on the light.
Coil packs are £30 or so easch a set is £120 in theory...
Its supposed to be lower limiter so the light comes on lower as it just comes on in theory 300rpm before the red line. Some cars seem to be funny with respect to this.
Please yep could do with it. Mine works for some of the stuff. I insttaleld some other software and it messed it up though. I've been meaning to sort it for ages.
It is because of this I've said it for ages noone belived me.
I've also said it would damage the other bits and have been proven correct. (it oveled bolt on another members car)
Dealers have changed them under warently before now though and sold them. Its not a common used part though hence...
I'd stick with that setup unless you ant to go to somehting a bit more extreme like PGF97 or DS3000's. However I'd look at 4 pots etc before going to that type of pad.
I like the red but the Yellow is stunning (shame its specail edition only model one)
Don't wait for the Cup might be waiting a bit.
Renault don't know either spec etc hasn't been decided I don't think.
You can tell when the ball joints damaged seems like the cars not been repaired or serviced right you should have had it checked.
Sounds like the drive shafts worn get it changed the dci shafts arn't great but you being as the ball joint wasn't checked or chnaged after the crash shows IMO...
Did you leave the car a second with the keys turned (bit not the start on as such) so all the lights went out before tuning the engine over? Thats often the issue.
