my injector worked itself loose on my 1.4 16v and fuel was running down the front of the engine, thought i could smell fuel a bit in traffic started to feel feint after a while lol.
as fred says they don't have a cable type shift but sort of a rod that goes from the shifter to the box so any movement is directly transferred. If its really bad it might be worth changing the Dogbone mount as they do get worn over time. This reduces engine movement and as a result gearstick...
given the choices you have given. dci 65 is much more driveable imo. feels quicker due to torque, Cheaper on fuel and tax, plus will be worth more when it comes to sell.
got the new engine fitted in the 172 but can't get the manifold in place... only a few mm's before i can get a nut on the stud to hopefully pull it against the header. Any tips? clearance is terrible.
would have gone for the 2.0 engine myself... same work roughly.. 172 engine is hardly bigger in real terms and much better performance. i would see it as more of an achievement. its probably going to be similar in performance to a saxo vts.
he might have fitted HID's to stock headlamps. Illegal for road use. Looks Like its probably a shed and was repaired to a budget. I would look for another.
