I think stock pads are fine the car was sold with them after all.
Just make sure you do by standard pads.
Uprated ones there a reasonable choice but there more expensive.
The 65, 80 and 100 all are £35 road fune the 105 is more.
The 80/100 and 105 don't remap to the same HP though by a fair way.
Theres always good and bad ones.
There load of potential issues where a second hand lump becomes cheaper than a repair.
Its in the FAQ thread here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=187984
Common Clio problems

Yes and no
A remap/tunning box do the same thing don't try using both of them you'll have loads of trouble and no gains over just having one as such.
You can get 100hp you need a custom reremap and an intercooler realy for safety . it could be done with serious hard reamp but engine life...
If performance was all you want I wouldn't get the 1.4.
You have to weight up the advantages and disadvantages I much prefere my dci than 172/182 for the driving I do.
If its leaking from the sump its the waher you need to change so drop the oil and use a new sump washer. Some places are to cheap and don't use a new one and it means it leaks.
Just check it tight though I've known ones which have been resued sump washers to come loose
It was a cost cutting measure.
They only need one lock for law so since its a French car they removed the lock from there passenger side which is out drivers as such.
Saved a fari few quid when you think about it less wiring less time etc.
What do you mean by worthwhile? No tunning good value for money tunning boxes and remap for hp gaisn are cheap for diesel no 1.4 would ever get the same gains as a dci would with a reamp even a 225 v6 would have trouble making the same gains.
The oil pump can die its does happen just hoep you stopped the engine in time so no serious damage is done.
Err pump isn't a simple job best take the engine out.
Hp gains are very small mid range are the best gains
PMurry on here £295 I think or chipwizards for £400 I think.
You realy need some other stuff like decat and intake manifold reworking to get anything decient IMO.
Possible but it had side vents (AKA the 197) you cannot to well see them though so unless the cabrio has some needs for front brake cooling I'd recon its the CSL in testing the M3 is very common there now they would be studying updates for a CSL type car already with lead times etc.
Incase anyone cares the Merc is infact the E63AMG. It was faster than the M3 (not by much it did ovetake it and gain a few meter over a lap) Ok drivers will make a difference but these arn't amteurs having a go at open tourist time.
