im not realli a pro with this sorta stuff, but your gonna need a capacitor, this should get rid of the dimming as the bass lines come in. i had this prob with my 12" RF sub and alpine v12 mono amp! but all is well now. anything above a 1.0 Farad capacitor should be fine.

Bon u fool stop trying to compete with me and Gem! lol im sure a filter will be fine! tho u need to lose the 17's before you can realli match either of us on pace! well next time you see me i should have the viper fitted!
Take care people!

Hi,
Jus got some Mordaunt Short 902s and they are bi-wirable. I have a Yamaha amp to power these bad boys. But what is bi-wirable and does it affect the sound quality at all? Is it like when you purchase a subwoofer and you can get dual-voice coils etc? Any info is much appreciated. thanks!
I would get the Blaupunkt. I think they look really smart and not too OTT like some aftermarket headunits. Also iirc the DAB54 has recording features as well, so you can record radio sessions on a mmc card! I was goin to get this HU but couldnt fork out the extra cash on top of my Alpine 9812
Hi, might be purchasing a Pioneer AVX-7300DVD screen. Thing is, if i buy this, will i be able to hook my existing Alpine 9812 with it.
I have been told that i need a master unit, so i would need to keep my Alpine HU. Can anyone enlighten me on this matter. thanks
Link for the unit in...
Not difficult to setup the 2 subs...jus got to choose the right amp.
crossover...nope should be integrated in the amp. u will need a low pass filter which most amps have.
capacitor...hmm...wouldnt really think you would need one, but if u have a bit of spare cash then it wouldnt hurt. You...
Its pretty simple to be honest mate...
When choosing subs and amps...go for the RMS figure. Not goin to go into the nitty gritty, but jus go for the RMS values. Peak values are not very helpful.
So if your getin 2 subs which are like 250rms...you will need a subwoofer that is 2 channel...
Is that the Alpine M500 mono u got there mate. ive got one of them powering my Rocky 12". Heard u can power 2 12s from those bad boys...might consider a revision install...
Sounds like its gonna be a nice setup mate. My old clio had a Alpine setup in it and it was very nice.
First get some coaxials for the back. Then get a 4 channel amp and power all 4 speakers. not familiar with the new range, but something like a 4x80W should do the trick.
next you want to...
need to remove my spare wheel for new ICE setup. Jus wondering if this Holt Tyre Weld stuff is really as good as they say. So basically u jus spray it in and it fixes it and INFLATES it?!?!?
oh and is it ok for ur mot?? cheers
Is dynamat really worth it?? Ive jus brought 2 rolls of dynamat extreme for my boot install next week and im jus thinking whether ive made a wise investment?!
thats not a bad price mate, depending on what ur having done. if your building a proper install with the false floor, custom box, etc etc £200 aint too bad.
ive got mine in for a install and its £350. but that includes full fibre glass box, false floor all set into the spare wheel well...
