Right tested more.
Hooked up sub to my Technics stereo and it works fine! So my amp is knackered! This means I need an amp and I have no idea what to get.
Please help!
This is it...
Ok. Cone seems ok. Smooth but how far do you push it? If you push it a long way starts to scrape.
Took amp out (cause it's built into box) All connections look ok. Could I try it on a normal speaker. Got some Gale speakers but I am fond of them so don't wanna blow them.
Hi
Brought sub and amp and tested at home on a leisure battery hooked up to RCA outputs on my home stereo. Tried on normal RCA out and single sub out and getting distorted high pitch and intermitant bass. The sub moves a fair bit once in a while but don't sound right at all.
I connected...
Yeah I thought I would be asking to much from standard HU.
Just checked ur PM. So would that amp do the trick with standard HU. Has it got high level inputs or will I have to buy high-low convertors?
Oh and thanks for your help too!
Er well I've got some Inifinity speakers in front but standard HU don't do them justice. I think they would be loud enough with bass turned down but I want some bass.
So really I need a SUB and AMP. I suppose I could get a SUB and 4 channel amp and power front two speakers off two channels and...
Hi Elmo
I thought it would sound gash if I did it with the rear speakers to subs. A lot of people seem to say so. If it sounds ok I'd be up for it. Would I be able to run front speakers of same amp and just forget bout the rears.
Oh and I haven't paid my membership so can't access ur sales?!?!
Hi
After finding out standard HU has no pre outs for an amp I'm gonna have to buy one. I want something standard looking as I don't want it half inching.
I'm looking to buy a sub and amp and only have £150 so second might have to be the way to go (fleabay) any suggestions on a setup. I've...
I have taken it out and the cable is a bit of a mess. The yellow clip has about had it. Mine is offside too.
Found a someone local breaking a 2000 Clio Alize but it's a 5 door not 3. Would this still fit?
Ok any help anyone. Rang Cliospares and they said £50 and wouldn't post and thats no good to me. Tried GSF and they said £75 and I can collect or I can get one off ebay. Was hoping to spend around £50 to be fair.
I mean I'm not tight but it's Christmas and kids need feeding lol
Oh brill. Thats sound ok price. It's a two pin plug to the regulator if that helps?!? It's a ph1 one anyway so that should help. Don't suppose you found the door handles too?
Ph1 172 2001
I done plenty of searching and even though the window was working and the motor works I think I need a new one.
The regulator had come un bolted from the door. Was a rattle in door so I took it to bits. Window used to go clank half way down. Anyway bolted it back on and my mate...
Costco have some Oil on offer at half price. Packs of 3 litres. 6 litres would cost £22. Specially designed for Voltswagen FSI engines, fully synthetic.
Thing is it's a great price but would it be no good for my engine? I think 30 bit means viscosity at normal running temp. So it would be...
What could be the cause. Changed plugs last year. Gave them a clean and not difference.
Sometimes I turn key and starts straight away. Other times I'm cranking for 30 seconds. Tried hit gas etc but sometimes just don't wanna start but eventually does.
The rotary it's great. The silverline pads are crap. Slow start variable speed. All you need really. Got a friend who paid £110 for some other make and it's no better.
I've tried pushing back down and can hardly get it to move but front is a lot easy.
Seems ok but suspension does seem to get quite unsettled when I hit bumps etc
Adjustment is the key.
Pull drivers side one towards you by undoing bolts
Same on one under battery
Gear box one same again. All will take two people or a bar
Do all these with dogbone undone. No bolts.
The the front bolt out. Black bit that it connects too loosen top bolt and and middle...
Yeah. New it was a mistake taking pride in my car when I don't have a garage. Would jus been nice 4 people not to spoil things by being careless.
Should of not get it sprayed that I wouldn't of cared as much.
I know it's a fact of life but when it's your pride and joy and you've spent days machine polishing, SRP'ed, three layers of EGP, Concours waxed...hours of work it's just gutting!
