I've always got cable ties and tool bag in the car!
Can I put a request in that nobody washes their car for the meet?! Mine is covered in carbon lorraine brake dust and my white wheels are now a grey/grown lol!
I know just the man

He's a mate of mine and has done loads to my car, he does all sorts too. Based in Dartford but he's mobile
I’ve been busy the last 6 months or so, over the winter the car doesn’t move much, just a few trips to keep it ticking over. But now we’re moving into spring/summer work can commence for the coming track day season! The cars come along way over the 9 years I’ve owned it (me buying this brand new...
Good to meet some of you yesterday! I've realised I need new wheels now, the valver rims done well for winter, but look pretty tatty now! I'll keep my eye out for the next meet
I wasn't being arsey lol
Personally, I had more fun with slicks than I did with 888's, about a second quicker round brands too, and I'm no pro, far from it!
Anyway, back the the originally point, from the pics I had a lot more lean in corners with slicks, harder springs to counteract?
Maybe I should have said a BMW mini, cant be that much lighter can it?
Nah I'll stick to slicks cheers, much more fun, which is what's its all about really
I got them from a mate who had them on his race mini, and as he changed series and could no longer use slicks, the set I got had only done one qualy session, so does that count as one heat cycle?!
I used the same pressures as they used on the mini as well, around 22psi cold and I’m sure he...
The last track day I did was my first outing on slicks, soooo much more grip and loved it. However, I now think my suspension isn't up to it.
I'm currently running 400lb front and 450lb rear spring rates, this seemed to work really well with R888s and track tyres, but I'm sure the slicks were...
Does anyone know of a flocking company in Kent? I know of the usual, get flocked, banbury etc, but ideally would like a local firm so I don't have to post.
Few pics and vids of my day at Brands Hatch on Saturday, we had quite a good turn out.
About 10 cars from just my lot, good range too, from Xsara VTS, a couple of M3s, Merc 190 cosworth, saph cos, and another 172, all sorts! Was a great day, very slippery in the morning but dried up just...
Right. the R888's are off (in the for sale section if anyone wants them) and the AD08's have been put on, only driven home so far, but initial thoughts are that they're alot quieter than the R888s. I'm not fussed about that as its a track car.
We'll wait and see how they go on the 26th...
I've been looking at some replacement track tyres as my R888s have only got a few days left in them, and as the price has gone up a fair bit, I started to look at others.
I’ve tried to find as many reviews as possible from lots of different sources, all mixed, as everything normally is on...
Haha! Spotted! First time I've seen storm grey 200, even in the dark it looked immense! Cheers, I rarely use it at the moment, only at weekends really. Have to sort a mini meet out soon then…
