Clio 182 with both cup packs if you want the toys
172 cup/182 Trophy if you want less toys but slightly better handling
too be honest unless you drive them near or at the limit you wont notice that much, thats why I went for 182 full fat with cup packs but its good that renault offer us...
Its not though, official its 8.2 secs to 60 from Peugeot but many believe it will be quicker, although autocar test was 8.2 but Evo 7.4 i reckon
a 172 will hit 60 in under 7
The V6 255 is suppose to be a much improved car in every area, and me personally I prefer the looks of the 255
Although this is just what I have read from the motoring press as I havent driven any of them
Yeah all manufacturers say that about lapping quicker (beleive it or not), but it should lap quicker and the game should be moved on, I think you will find their is greater demand for the full fat version but Renault will probably offer the new version with cup packs anway
Bit harsh on the...
I think that about the V6 is Renault marketing department talking, I will give the RS3 Clio a chance but somehow I feel it is going to be let down, not much faster and way to expensive but at the moment its all talk
Im only quoting performance figures from Autocar, as i have never seen a race between them I have no first hand exeperience of them
but to be honest theres probably about 20Bhp per tonne difference between the 182 and Willaims, which is not alot, so although on average the 182 will be faster...
All these cars are pretty closely matched 0-60, but its 0-100 that seperate the men from the boys.
Thats where the average 172/182 has the advantage over the average GTI, Valver, Williams
At the moment the new clio weighs about 130kg more than the old one so
New Renaultsport Clio (200/1220)*1000=164 Bhp/tonne
Renaultsport Clio 182 (182/1090)*1000=167 Bhp/tonne
Not much in it at all!
Yeah the reg vardy sticker is going, I never really noticed before how much it stands out, Im going to replace it with a clio sport sticker as soon as the shops open, also Im off to halfords tonight to get some screw covers for my number plate.
As for plans, none really, I have been thinking...
Yeah it such a nice colour, however I love Inferno as well, but forunately it wasnt available when i bought my 182 so I didnt have the tough choice to make!
I never really noticed before but it does stand out alot, Im going to order a clio sport sticker when the shop opens so I think it may have to go in its place!
I got that figure of the autotrader website under check value link
I have just looked on Parkers and for a 1.2 16v dyanamique with a/c 2003 03 the private sale ranges between 3675-4790 but thats for a car with 20,000 miles on it
I dont think he will get 4k for it although after looking...
Sorry to hear that mate, 4k seems a bit pricey I think more about 2.5k
As far as Im aware you cant sell the car unless you can pay the finance company first
I read on here that is should feel faster after a couple of thousand miles but to be honest i cant tell no difference, all engines are supposed to get faster with age
Renault claim 650 miles take it steady then should be run in about 1500 miles
