Different map aswell obviously, get it mapped mate they go around 200bhp easy.
Different suspension setup etc
Don't get the the non-turbo'd 2.0 Megane though
Re: *****crashed 182 pics **** very nasty
Lucky, glad nobody was seriously hurt. Was amazed when I ditched my old RT (it got a lot of stick :o) how well it held together.
Did anyone see the Espace 4 go head on into the Discovery video???
1.2's Generally speaking aren't bad, I personally think the D4F's a cracking little engine. 1.4's & 1.6s suffer from coils going down (2 minute fix) not too costly. The DCI's aren't bad, regualar oil changes and booting them now and again to keep the injectors clean etc. Theres a lad whos DCI's...
*Flame suit*
Have you considered the DCI, quicker than the 1.2 and 1.4s - easily. For 5k you could get a very good example. My Dynamique+ was 3.8K with xenons, climate control, electric sunroof and 69k miles. It will see around 70+mpg on the motorway and I can't get mine below 39mpg when...
Rob - Wouldn't worry too much mate, I know plenty of garages/dealerships that wouldn't/don't/don't know the proper RS service intervals that don't change the belt on 36k
2k Isn't that much over wouldn't worry
^Al whens your next meet, wouldn't mind seeing how the DCI does against a few better driven 1.6's. Only pansies drive them round here can't compare it properly.
*Flame suit* I usually pull away from any saxo vts/vtr easy. 2nd gear out of roundabouts, soon as the turbos in no trouble. Doing 80...
It aint like the other DCIs that you can do without a pin. The 1.5s have one in the crank and one in the cam. Also a mark on the pump.
Did they change the waterpump? And tensioners etc? Did they use genuine parts?
Like Edde says they should have covers.
Have a look at your drums mate, don't forget they RR the brakes if they're inconsistent both side they'll fail it. Check your wheel cylinders while your at it too.
Get a new exhaust if its blowing, or if your a true pikey get a exhaust repair kit from halfords.
Emissions - Drive it like you...
Chris - How did you cure it mate?
Kev-whereabouts in Rugby you from mate? See more and more RS's everyday no bugger ever waves back round here, bloody peasents
Might have seen a DCI tearing around quite a bit :o
Are they Xenons?
If so take the units out and leave them on a radiator overnight - water/dondensation etc can get in (time of the year) Mine flickered when it pissed down found water in the ballast re-sealed it and dried them out overnight on the radiater at work aint played up since.
Check...
