fuel system will clean the elements before the cylinder though wont they(injectors, pipes, valve seats) but there affectiveness is debatable. does the engine run ok in general? have you knocked the cat with your hand to check if the internal element is collasping(eg-you would hear it rattle as you...
ive never bothered fitting the spring or rod and ive never had any trouble but like mike says if you want one its not warranty and you would have to pay.
oil can contaminate the belt/cause it to disintigrate and make it snap etc. if there is a visible amount of oil i would find the leak and fix it. most likely be a crank or cam seal.
the end digit codes normally apply to slight differences in the engine design(pistons, valves, bearings, head, injection components etc).it might only be a very slight difference but it will be there somewhere. if you look at the k9k engine repair manual you will probably find some differences...
looks like a renault genuine precat but looking at the flanges it must be from an f4r turbo engine(megane 225,avantime,velsatis or laguna 2).
edde-its got an oxygen sensor so its not off a deisal.
no the compensator on the cup doesnt have the rod/spring. basically its just there and doesnt do a deal. every renault dealer will renault documentation to back up what ive said.

the cam pulley bolt must have been very loose to allow the cam pulley to move across that much that it had come of the locating peg. oh well mistakes do happen but leaving a cam pulley loose is school boy error.
does the engine run ok in general? might be worth having a diagnostic check done then they can check the operation of the oxygen sensor etc. Either the oxygen sensor is faulty or another sensor on the engine is causing it run rough.
older clios the aerial mast unscrews from the base. on some of the newer models the base and mast are togethor so you have to undo the nut on the inside of the car roof.
how old is the car and which model is it?
either sunroof frame seal or the aerial base. the interior sunroof trim pulls off and the interior light assembly is easy to remove so have a look to see where its coming from.
the second point might be a engine misfire when cold. have a look at the dizzy cap etc.
just explain this method again as im unsure what you mean. have timed them up with the angle chart before but if you reckon that your way is easier please explain.
there is a plastic filler plug on the front of the gearbox about halfway up. you fill it until it overflows out of this filler plug hole. you need the car level at the time and it holds approx 3 litres.
id give them a ring. get the number off the website. ive only got the 172 pricelist. whenever ive spoken to them though theyve been helpful and interested to listen.
