Seem to be sticking with Halfords Fully synth at the minute, Get it pretty cheap on a trade card compared to their prices on Mobil 1 and only able to get magnas**te from work.
Drop it every 6 thou which works out to be the same as sticking some mobil 1 in but leaving it in 12k instead
You'l be rubbing a long time if your polishing it back by hand, I'd probrably go up through the grades to 3000 in your case, I thought you would be using a machine, 24 hours should be fine, If its aerosol you'l be fine after 3-4 hours TBH & it'l be easier to bring back up too before its fully cured
The rocker cover doesnt have a gasket and IIRC you need to lock the cams before removing the rocker cover as it holds it all in place, High temp silicon sealents what you want
They're wrong, I got one today and fitted it tonight and its spot on, I'l get the part number posted up tomorrow, Comes with 2 new bolts and a pinch bolt for the hub
Found out tonight its completely gone, I've been hearing a knocking this week jacked it up and removed the wheel and theres plenty of play :dapprove:
I got stuck in with the windy gun to remove it and the pinch bolt is completly siezed, The nut comes off but it wont tap out and wont spin with...
Well i've still got a pair on mine that have nearly covered 50k now and dont knock other than at full lock on rough ground like they all do. They last IMO as long as your careful and dont aim for potholes lol.
They are getting transferred onto my coilovers this week when i get some bolts so...
I used a sump plug key and two spanners back to back lol. It worked ok but i did slip once and punched the head which bloody hurt, Felt like i'd broke my wrist
How much are they  Anyone know where i can get a set cheaper than ktec to go with H&Rs for a cup packed 182 and allow me to get -1.5deg camber?
I had been looking over on clio trophy too and they talk of using a 12.9g 12mm bolt which gives 2deg adjustment, Bodge or worth a shot?
Well it'l have less oil than the rest of the shocks and might make the car handle strangely, Depends how much you call small,as theres not a great deal in them
If the clutch had gone it wouldn't go into gear without a nice horrible grinding noise if you was forcing it, and you woulnt be able to hold it in gear at idle without it stalling. It is possible its the box itself if you are reckoning the lever is going into its position as if it was in a gear...
Grey Primer and no need to sand down before you laquer i dont know why people do it.
Up to you on the rears, Personally i'd just give them a proper clean
Apparantly me just pulling into the works car park is enough for mine to c**k a wheel. One of the sales lads accused me of been a loon, I didnt realise it was off the floor B)
Be fine, Unless theres no huge gouges on the edge you're laughing, Spot of filler would sort the spokes out if its bad, As long as they dont need 200g of weights or so lol to balance it be rite
Thanks Fred, Am i right in thinking they are the same as the factory settings for 182cups apart from i think they run -1deg camber instead.
I'm happy with it now on Sportlines, Turns in well but feels a bit light when traveling along at 80 or so on the motorway therefore I suspect its toeing...
Ok I'm thinking about -1.5 deg Camber on the front, Dont want more TBH i dont push it too much
having the toe set at 0 (poss toe in very very slightly) as it does 50/50 motorway
and the rears fixed isnt it unless i shim it which i wont be doing?
With any luck that wont eat my tyres will it as...
With anyluck i should have some Coilies on my clio on Monday and will be taking it into work to be tracked up,
With regards to camber and toe what should it be set at?
95% of the time my car will be on the road that means it'l probrably never end up on track apart from a drag strip lol. I dont...
