Its sudden increases in torque/power that'll kill the box. Superchargers 'should' be ok with the standard box as the torque/power increase is much more controlled. But i may be talking rubbish!
Ive found brentacre are the best for mods. Everything is free to add to your policy i.e. no admin charge. You can do whatever you like to your car upto a certain agreed BHP and because they are a small company they also seem to have the personal touch over the phone.
^^ I had DS2500s on my last car and I hated the amount of dust they produced plus they scared me a few times when they were cold.
I had the greenstuffs on the clio for the last year and I thought they were fine. Yes they do fade after some hard abuse but its gradual fade nothing dangerous...
Ive just got some of the yellowstuffs for a good price. Much better when cold than the reds and very good once hot. The problem with EBC is they have changed there compunds but not the product names so hence why there are so many mixed opinions on them.
The other one. Does anyone else think it would be a good idea for a Mod to put a note at the bottom of this thread to follow the instructions in the other thread and then lock this one??

I'm looking to put 5mm spacers on my PH1 it give it he same track as the cup as ive heard it helps the handling a little. Obviously hubcentric spacers arn't really needed.
Ive found some FK spacers for a reasonable price but ive got no idea on where to get the longer bolts from or what size...
Do non hubcentrics cause balance problems as some people on here say to get hubcentrics and others dont? I'm tempted to get some 5mm ones for mine so Ive got the same offset as the cup.
Exactly. My friend at work turned the DSC off in his M3 and had an epic tallent failure hence why hes now driving a 520d.
As said the average woman/man wants to get from A-B as safetly as possible and in one piece.
My GF drives a Cooper S and she can drive it reasonably fast because it...
I understeered the GF's dads truck into my mums gate post yesterday at less than 5 mph. I had already done the braking the car started to turn in, hit a patch of black ice then kept going towards the post (about 10m) was the slowest crash in history. The ABS was so intrusive I had no chance of...
Sort of correct most go to 7800 and almost all that I know of keep the lower limit when the engines cold. Would be stupid to do away with it as its there to protect the engine.
