the head, as in the first pic, has crators in the squish face..
it is a 172 head..
the squish face is the area that comes closest to the pistons, the idea is that a greater pressure area (and the squish is all around the edges head chamber ) is...
Just worked out what you would need to get a 10 second car outa the willy...
(Traction is not considered lol!)
say you manage to loose 186 kg..
weight now 2082 lbs..
you would be looking at 420 bhp !!!

to re-use this head at all - on any application.. it needs tig n surface plane. - note the damage is on the squish.. the area that is closest to the piston edge..
I dont intend to do any other work on the head.. it will all be in the pistons..
if it is not repaired, the head is scrap ...

here is an estimate of the amount of weight you would have to remove to equal a coresponding increase in bhp for the times given above.
assume a start time of 15.0 and weight of 2500 all up.
2500 lbs @150 bhp ET=14.9
2500 lbs @160 bhp ET=14.56 or loose 158 lbs
2500 lbs...
detonation has to occur before the sensor can take any action, the role of the sensor in WOT (wide open throttle) operation is uncertain on the Sirius ecu as fitted to the 172... the fueling on WOT is a simple table with no lama correction.

Hi,
Nick m8.
there were virtualy standard 172s pulling high 14,s / low 15s.
your car is also lighter.
with 250 you could certainly run in the high 12s low 13s.
Its simply a matter of comparative results. If you know what the best run is std, you can calculate the apx power needed...
