have noticed on the newer models that the clutches seem to wear a lot faster.didnt seem to do many clutches when old clios etc were the current new range.
i think the r sport ecu works better if you do the exhaust and air filter etc first.after all the car it was designed for had a better exhaust and intake system.
to join an old and new original standard exhaust parts togethor you have to cut the exhaust in a specific place.seeing as you are just refitting the original one though as long as it has been cut on a straight section then the renault sleeve will rejoin it.
the knock probably cracked the bolts and they eventually sheard off.you were lucky though werent you, could have been a lot worse if the last bolt had sheared as well.
brakes wear all depending on your driving style, driving conditions(eg-moterway) and mileage.if there getting to 80% worn i would personally think about changing them.new pads are cheap and you could easily fit them yourself.better to change the pads now or risk damaging your discs when they...
you can get some universal flaps to fit older renaults from your dealer.they have 2 clamps that lips around the wing so your sideskirts shouldnt get in the way.

a good soak in penetrating oil ,a few sharp whacks with a hammer and a quality brake spanner always works for me.only have the odd one thats just rusted solid.use a snap on spanner as well.might be exspensive but it fits a lot better than any other ones ive had in the past.
pedal potentiometer and throttle body thats rare-not! what did the pedal fault say?-incoherence between tracks 1 and 2. What did the throttle body fault say?-value outside max/min limits.
are the pads held in place by slides as it is an old clio(there are two types of caliper-slide type and bolt on).the slides etc corrode and the pads start sticking.the caliper mounting slides are commen for seizing as well(applicable to both the slide type and bolt on caliper types)
they can test all the inputs to the starter pack but not the output(the voltage is to high).but if its got all the inputs and it doesnt work 9/10 its a faulty starter pack.
as soon as youve had it running and turned the steering lock to lock a few times it will be bled.you will always get the ssssshhhhhh noise espicially on full lock due to the noise of the oil going through the rack under high pressure.
you can get bleeding bottles with a one way valve in the pipe so you can just pump the pedal until the bubbles disappear without worrying about sucking air back into the system.
the caliper pipe union is a 14m which always comes undone.get a 11m brake pipe spanner for the other end.soak in penetrating oil and give the bracket a few whacks with a hammer.keep the spanner square when applying the pressure and the pipe will come undone.fit the new pipe into the caliper...
