If you're having trouble removing EGP sounds like your applying far too much, I had the same trouble when I 1st started using it. I used one of the round foam applicators and apply just enough to layer the paint.
EGP can be layered to give extra durability as a single layer won't last that long...
it is believed that a chamois will do more damage than good, best to use a drying towel. i use: http://i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/I4D_Uber_Premium_Drying_Towel_1.html
Clay kits: http://i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/detailing_clay.html
autoglym and meguiars kits can be found in halfords. They...
not as cheap as your ebay lead and disc, but I use the following and works a treat, recommended by an RTE. small enough to keep in the glove box for instant check up.

Or try the k-Tec one for a few £ more...
I fitted the rs192 full system with decat and can't feel any noticable difference other than maybe a slightly softer kick at 5k, but it's still noticeable, and after that it just wants to rev harder and longer
You say that the 'damage' is not covered under warrany, what damage? By the sounds of it you had a re-occuring misfire. this will be logged and bring the engine light flashing. When they plug it into the computer / clip, all it'll register is a missfire on cylinder No. 1, 2, 3 or 4, give you the...
Wash, de tar using AG intensive tar remover or tardis, this will get rid of the worst of the contaminants, use either the Meguiars or Autoglym clay kits from halfords if it's your 1st attempt as it has everything you need. spray a small section of each panel with quick detailer, warm up the clay...
depends if you like the look of them, £50 for alloys with tyres are not bad, what kind of condition are they in, make and tread left on the tyres? Look ok on Mk2 Ph1's but in 16's on a non sport might need lowering to pull it off.
for £15 C2 is top shelf in my opinion (limited experience mind)
for my car through summer it'll be waxed, through winter and everyone elses cars that I ever do all year round it'll be C2
C2 is SOOOO simple to use, 100ml will last ages and anything you don't use layering on the car can be diluted as QD for added protection. Clarity is also V.good. I used it on a silver golf and it still looks good. Seems to have a self cleaning ability as it doesn't hold anywhere near as much...
LOL, I spotted that in the 'what have you bought' thread and shook my head. I just can't beleive it can be that good without experiencing it in person before buying.
That's all out commitment!
I'm finishing off my tub of AG HD wax and think it's a good all round performer. fairly simple to use and beading is tight and long lasting. Mine has currently been on for 3 months so far and still providing good protection
It a tough call but the EZ creme does appear to glow lovely after a brief search.
I'm currently using C2 dilute as QD as I mixed up a little too much for the Golf and once diluted has a short shelf life. Same finish as C2 concentrate, crisp clean finish with good beading and duarbility, but no...
To start it will be machine corrected using P1 , purely as I've already bought it combined with Hexlogic pads till I find a good process, will try the Menzerna 3 once I finish it off. I will be trying LP with machine but TBH wasn't that impressed with it by hand so will be looking for a...
I'm just starting to machine polish to get correction, tried lime prime(will try shortly by machine), used wax both over LP and onto bare paint, and recently tried C2 sealant. Is there any other form of enhancement to bring out the depth, especially with LY in between prep and LSP?
I'm yet to...
I'm still running all 4 and love them. IMO the wet grip is pretty good and good feedback. The softer compound gives good dry grip also. maybe not as good as the PE2 but quite a bit cheaper and I will be buying more again.
I'm using a wool mitt from halfords and does a much better job than the megs mitt and is lasting a lot longer.
Has anyone tried the microfibre sponges yet, such as the dodo juice one? I've seen them about for a long time and considering trying it out.
Spotted a silver 172, private plate with black wheels heading north bound on the A507 Wednesday evening, can't remember the exact time but we left milton keynes at 6pm and back home in Essex by 8pm so somewhere in the middle. lol.
You wouldn't have spotted me as I was driving a silver Golf.
