Has anyone had experience with the GTechniq P1 polish? Can I expect much cut from using with a DA polisher?
I'm using a DAS-6, CG hexlogics heavy polish, light cut and heavy cut pads and I'm really struggling.
I was doing my bootlid and ended up stepping upto 4 passes with the heavy cut pad...
I've not known any other cleaning product smell as bad as IronX, and I supposedly have the new 'improved smell' version. The spray head dribbled and the shed stank for days
I know some on here have some contacts, and know where to get things from. I've searched hi and low looking for somewhere that is going to have it in stock. Anyone know who is likely to have it in stock? I keep checking the forums but no final confirmed details of release or stockists.
On the...
srp only requires 1 coat as multiple layers will probably remove themselves.
I'd then go straight onto wax personally. Ironx is handy if you have a lot of contamination left from say breakpads etc.
just a quick review on the above as i4d had them reduced.
2oz of shampoo in a 5gallon i4d bucket made a good mixture and gave plenty of suds with just an open end hose to set the mind at ease. Process felt nice, slick and well lubricated over very dusty panels with plenty of bug juice and tree...
I've recently tried C2 and think it's a fantastic product, just not for my LY over summer as I prefer the wax'd look. I hear the dilute doesn't last that long though, maybe a month before it starts to go off.
If the light is coming on on the amp, then it is being turned on by the headunit. this doesn't mean it's getting power to it to drive it. check the fuses again on the amp and the main live feed from the battery. double check all connections. as if it's not a perfect connection then it'l go into...
IIRC SRP has little to no cut, is more of a filler.
EGP really doesn't last that long on paintwork, so I can't see it lasting long on wheels at all. Worth a try I guess if you have nothing else
pics of the standard mounts, albeit modified, can be found in my thread:

I've not used any myself yet but from what I hear the colour specific is more marketing than factual. Purple haze and blue velvet seem to pop up quite often though.
Have you consider any other brands, like autoglym HD wax, vics Concours. so many available
I've not noticed poor wear on them really, certainly not compared to my last yoko's, but obviously not as long as PE2's. reckon I'll be getting another pair considering the cost of them
only lasting 3000 miles? must be something wrong there.
I've got them fitted and lasted at least 12,000so far. driving style or tracking must be out. therefore any tyre will not last. get it checked out before buying tyres again.
Re: What have you ordered?
lol at the pro's choice of waxes
Celleste £120
Glasur £100
titanium £70
carbon £50 but only 2weeks durbility!?!
I think long and hard before spending £30
the fabric hose in the pics is the CAF, it just slides into the airbox, think you may have to squeeze the sides in gently as it has 2 plastic bumps that locate. this then leads down to the acoustic valve and can simply be pulled off this also. No need to remove the airbox.
Have a look for the...
Re: What have you ordered?
Still have a reasonable amount of AG HD wax so will prob last till winter, still undecided between Vics concours or purple haze pro. will be the smaller panel pots to try so might get both. little dubious speding more on wax
Re: What have you ordered?
forgot to mention I bought a new DAS-6 off a member a few weeks back  Nothing stopping me now other than baking sunshine
hard hat, steel toe boots, hi-viz, folded blanket as dog bed, knife and multi socket set, jack kit and tyre foam all in the boot.
sunglasses, pens, CD's, code reader until I remove my decat, business cards and torche in the glove box
thrown around the car in general is dash / cleaner wipes, seat...
I've been running the V6 box with K&N for ages, can't say I've noticed any difference other than the glorious tone it gives, maybe a slight increase of low down pull but this might be just me thinking that due to the noise.
Unless you get one very cheap I probably wouldn't do it again or...
Re: What have you ordered?
It's just a money pit! only ordered £110 last month and ordered more today:
hexlogic cutting pads, only had polish and glaze pads prior
iron x
EZ creme glaze
plenty of random MF cloths and applicators
empty bottles and spray heads.
DJ bling sponge
born slippy lube lol...
I've been considering this the past few months to a set of Koni's.
IIRC the differences are the bolt spacing, but I'm also lead to believe the thickness of the hub that slides up into the strut? hopefully someone can confirm this.
I was thinking of making a steel template from an OE cup strut...
it must really shine for it to be worth using if it only lasts 2-4 weeks? Is it easy to apply / remove when layering then?
Would Z8 not be a suitable alternative when comparing performance
My engine management light comes on almost every other week with the same code, 'efficiency below standard' or something like that. Just clear it and hope I get 2 weeks before having to do it again.
Funnily enough it came on on the way to work this morning.
My sis has one and it's never going to be a quick car so I personally wouldn't bother, maybe make it look and sound nice.
IMO they handle better than a standard 1.4 clio so just enjoy it for what it is and work your way up
