If you're scrapping the discs anyway, get a grinder out and take the head off. Dont worry about the disc.

If it works on number 4 only, it's the resistor. If not, check fuse, check the motor is getting power etc. The usual checks.

Standard upper mounts, polybushed dogbone is the best combo for a road car IMO. If your dogbone is worn, you'll get excess movement in the gearstick when you come on and off the throttle. If your upper gearbox mount is worn, you'll get a knocking at low/mid revs on the throttle. Cheap part and...

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc' Just man up and get a friend to help you lift it out the top. If you're not strong enough between you to lift the block, seatbelt round the lifting points and a 6ft length of scaffolding pipe to life makes it easier.

Nope, no mount there. As you've said, you have the two rear box mounts, then one halfway up the car for the centre section.
