None of those cars are in the same market sector as the Clio (bar the MCS, which is good but loses to the Clio on performance and price), thus not direct competitiors. The fact everyone else apart from you (who are you anyway? Racing driver? Motoring Journalist? ahh thought not) rates the Clio...

206 Gti? No. Mini Cooper S? No. Fiesta ST150? No. MGZR? No.
I dont think anybody is reading too much into the porsche comment..... apart from you that is.
Delivered this morning. I subscribe, but I guess it should be in the shops too....
Anybody know of any reason why they havent colour coded the heaqdlamp washer covers on the 182 Cup?? Looks ridiculous!!

WTF?? Ive seen flat spots before..... how does youre power curve go negative??? Gear changes? Was it done in 3rd or 4th gear? Do you have 40 psi in your tyres??!!
What mods have you done to your car Mike?
No, I didnt read it... was at working at the time, so only skimmed over it:oops:.
Some interesting results actually.... Im not sure what kind of track Anglesey is, but some of the times do seem odd .
Theres nearly a second between the CTR and the 182, yet the 182 is only 0.5 of a second...
Christ youve got a real downer against your car havent you!!!
I dont tend to carry many goths or skater kids in my car, so chains ripping my leather isnt a problem!!!
Ive quite a few people (including a BMW owner - brand new 5 series) comment on how neat the interior is in the Clio, and how...
Gutted for you mate. Its a horrible feeling...
Although not quite as severe, over the Nov 5th weekend, some local chavs decided to walk over my car for something to do. Scratched all my bonnet. Didnt realise until I was stood filling up and saw the footprints on my roof!!!:@
Yup. About the same in terms of speed and agility I would say, but 182 has all the toys. Bit of a no-brainer if you ask me, but thats coming from somone who didnt get the Cup anyway....
There are a few people on here who have traded their Cup for a 182....
172 mk2

10,500 miles
No serious problems, just little things that tarnish an otherwise superb little car. Rattling drivers window, rattling passenger seat, banging whilst wheelspinning (I know - dont wheelspin!!), windscreen heater vent rattles, trim rattles, blown speakers. All...
Black is the worst for looking like a 1.2. Id never confuse an Iceburg 172 for a 1.2 because a) The didnt do 1.2s in Iceburg Silver b) 1.2s dont have body coloured bumpers/bump strips etc.
The GP bikes are probably slower. Who cares. MotoGP has the kind of racing F1 can only dream of..... Competetive and exciting!!
For the record, I reckon given a bit of practice (he got close to Schueys lap record on his first couple of laps in an F1 car btw) Valentino Rossi could be a top F1...
If your tyres are worn then thats your problem. My 172 was a headache to drive in the wet with worn tyres. Feels like a different car with some fresh rubber on it!!
