I can remember when i had an old mk2 escort rs2000 which was quite quick.when the manifold snapped it instantly went flat/lost power, you could tell straight away.maybe back pressure was more important on these older engines than it is now. What do you think?
dont you need a slight bit of back pressure to help engine running/improve performance?(eg-to help stop a waste of inlet gases due to them escaping down the exhaust valve when valve overlap occurs-not really apllicable to new engines due to emission laws preventing them from using a lot/if any...
the constant tone means one of the alarm triggers is active EG-bonnet,door or boot switch.check your bonnet one first they sometimes get disloged from the scuttle panel and stick open.how many flashes do you get from your led when you disarm after it has gone off(the number of flashes will tell...
1,bad weather crap tyres(dont think your dealer will do anything about this one).have you checked the tyre pressures?over inflated perhaps
2,tdc sensor on engine or a immobiliser problem.faulty key or ring decoder(key reciever around ing barrel)
3,dont know never had one that sounded really...
dont think youll notice anything wearing out quicker really.the mid section box is really there to create a bit of back pressure its the back box that does most of the silencing.dont worry about it.
bought it from lambs eh.no doubt ill see it in the non two distant future then.ooh look at me looking on the bright side! anyway still love mine so have fun and hope it goes well.
all you do on a 12m service is change the oil,oil filter, top up all levels and give it a check over.they dont touch anything that would affect performance.
no renault coolant goes a horrible orange colour when it really wants changing.type c coolant in old renaults used to be yellow but they stopped making that years ago.renault coolant is a light green.if yours has the original yellow coolant in then change it.they stopped making it because it...
sounds like theyve got there wires crossed.timing belt is definatly 72000 or 5 years but the alternator belt may be due at 36000.if youve got your gen renault service book all the info is in there.
if you pm me the reg and the chassis number i will see if renault/icm will accept it.if it does then as far as renaults computer system is concerned it does exsist. There is a way to get the immobiliser code other than the chassis number.you enter a spare code into the vehicles uch using the diag...
fit a new wheel(is the tyre ok?) and have an allignment check done as well(not much more than just tracking and it would show up any further parts you may have bent). i bet a new alloy is at least a £100.
renault are b******s for missing bits of sealer on bulkhead welds/joints at production.Ive also had a few where the main wiring loom gromit on the bulkhead wasnt fitted tightly enough(theres a 10ml bolt in the centre of it on clios that clamps it togethor)
mine does it a bit(but not as bad as some ive heard) but i am also waiting to see if renault come up with any further modifications.keep checking ren net but no updates as of yet.
that new euro law isnt in affect yet so at the moment you must have renault dealer history to keep your warranty.the law will be in affect very soon though so watch this space.Tesco apparantly are going to open up garage branches when the law comes in.they are doing trials at the moment to see...
should be green.if its going brown then flush out your system and change it straight away.the brown is when the coolant starts to corrode your core plugs etc.change it before it gets to bad because it almost impossible to get rid of if you leave it(blocks up your heater matrix etc)
very early vehicles might be on 10000mile service intervals.timing belt is 72000miles or every 5 years(whichever comes sooner).miner engine oil leaks are nothing to worry about but i would change a leaking shocker.dont think youll be able to claim under warranty on any of the items you mentioned.
